With big-name players in the pool, it will be interesting to see which quarterbacks will be picked before others. Here, we take a look at the top five quarterbacks that will be available in the 2023 NFL Draft.
#1 Bryce Young, Alabama
Bryce Young has the poise and processing ability to work in any condition. The Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback has had another stellar season with the team, racking up 3,007 passing yards with 27 touchdowns.
Last season, the 21-year-old also won the Heisman Trophy. Young is one of the few passers who can layer tight-window throws at different levels. He'll almost certainly be a first-round pick next year.
#2 C.J. Stroud, Ohio State
C.J. Stroud has managed to complete an impressive 235 out of 355 pass attempts for 3,340 yards, 37 touchdowns, and six interceptions this season. It was another fantastic campaign for the quarterback, who finished in third place among the Heisman Trophy finalists.
In 2021, he finished with 4,435 yards and 44 touchdowns. Stroud is another quarterback who looks destined to make it to the NFL next season. He will be hoping to end the season strong with the Buckeyes, who will play in the college football playoffs this campaign.
#3 Anthony Richardson, Florida
Anthony Richardson is already quite an incredible quarterback but many believe that he is yet to reach his full potential. The Florida Gators talisman finished the 2022 season by throwing for 2,549 yards on 176 passes and adding 17 touchdowns.
Richardson is bound to turn a few heads in the upcoming NFL Draft. He skipped Florida's Las Vegas Bowl matchup with Oregon State last week to prepare for the draft.
#4 Will Levis, Kentucky
Will Levis battled a turf toe injury for much of this season and experienced inconsistent offensive line play. However, the 23-year-old still managed to put up 2,406 passing yards on 185 attempts with 19 touchdowns.
Levis still has room for growth and the ability to become one of the best quarterbacks in the country. Many NFL teams will be eyeing the young quarterback in next year's draft. It will be interesting to see where he lands.
#5 Hendon Hooker, Tennessee
Hendon Hooker will be 25 when he enters the 2023 NFL Draft. The experience that he has as a quarterback will serve to be a boost to any team that picks him. He has had two of his best college football seasons with the Tennessee Volunteers.
Hooker has 3,135 passing yards on 229 attempts and 27 touchdowns this season. He finished 2021 with 2,945 passing yards on 206 attempts and 31 touchdowns. Given his statistics, Hooker will almost certainly be on the radar of many NFL teams next season.
