All the Air Jordan releases of this week, where to get them, price, and more

Nike and Michael Jordan's co-owned Air Jordan sneaker lineage is continuing its reign over the sneaker and reseller market as of 2023. Earlier this year, the Jordan label announced 2023 as the "Jordan Year" - a nod to Michael Jordan's jersey number "23."

Michael Jordan's eponymous label can be credited with producing one of the most successful sneaker lines of all time and it has continued to garner the attention of sneakerheads globally ever since its inception. In 2023, the label has released shoes with iconic colorways, which also serve as a throwback for OG sneakerheads.

Due to the strong emotional connection between Michael Jordan and his fans, the OG colorways of the label have become some of the most sought-after makeovers on the reseller market.

For the week spanning August 28 to September 4, 2023 the label will be launching two new colorways. These sneaker colorways will be released via the official e-commerce site of Nike, the SNKRS app, and select retailers on their respective release dates.

In continuation of the retro celebration of Michael Jordan in year 2023 as a nod to his “23” jersey number, the Swoosh label is launching yet another beloved retro model. Originally released in 2006, the Air Jordan 5 “Deep Burgundy” sneakers are being re-launched in 2023.

The shoe model is a part of “SE” (Special Edition) makeovers and is given a more avant-garde approach compared to OG 2006 model. The official site introduces the sneaker colorway as,

“We're bringing back Burgundy. Why? Because it looks so good on AJ5s. Especially when it's accented with Light Graphite, Silver and an icy, semi-clear sole. It was a solid shoe in '06 and it's still lookin' tops in '23. Get yours.”

The shoe comes clad in a “Deep Burgundy / Metallic Silver / Light Graphite” color scheme. The upper of the shoe comes constructed out of nubuck material, with a majority of it doused in Burgundy hue.

The Deep Burgundy contrasts with “Light Graphite” accents added upon the upper stitching, laces, and inner lining. A flair is added to the design with a “Metallic Silver” accent placed upon the tongue and heel’s Jumpman branding.

The look is finished off with an icy semi-translucent outsole and splatter paint patterned midsoles. The Air Jordan 5 SE “Deep Burgundy” sneakers are scheduled to launch on August 29, 2023, in full family sizing including men sizing for $225, big kids’ sizing for $150, little kids’ sizing for $90, and toddler sizing for $70.

Adding into the Fall 2023 Retro roster of sneakers, the Jordan label is planning to release the iconic neutral iteration, Air Jordan 1 High “Palomino” sneakers. The shoe comes clad in an iconic makeover with “Black / Metallic Gold / Palomino / Sail” color scheme. The official Swoosh label site introduces the sneaker model as,

“Sophisticated and bold, this luxe take on the AJ1 delivers high-fashion bravado with equine flair. Premium leather pairs with Palomino panache, making your next 'fit smooth like MJ's game. And that pop of color on the tongue? Straight up gold.”

The upper of the shoe comes constructed out of leather material, with the most of it being clad in a “black” hue. The Black shade is accentuated upon the forefoot, tongues, and the mid-foot section.

Contrasting shade is added with the Brown suede placed upon the toe boxes, ankles, heel counters, and the profile swooshes on both medial and lateral sides. The titular “Palomino” shade is added upon the branding details upon the tongue tags.

The look is finished off with off-white midsoles and “Palomino” rubber outsoles. The entire shoe offers a “Neo Vintage” aesthetic. The pair is expected to launch on September 2, 2023, at a retail price of $180 for men’s sizing and $140 for big kids’ sizing.

Other than the aforementioned two pieces, fans can be ready for surprises as Air Jordan 2 "Soft Pink" and J Balvin x Air Jordan 3 sneakers are also rumored to launch in the same week.
