Most successful Australian Open, French Open and Wimbledon champions in the Open Era

The 2019 Australian Open ended with Novak Djokovic beating Rafel Nadal 6-3, 6-2, 6-3. Nobody expected this scoreline and everybody was hoping for a marathon match, but Djokovic completely outplayed Nadal in the final.

This was Djokovic's 15th Grand Slam title.

It is not surprising to know that every player has his own Slam, which he or she enjoys the most. Here we look at three male players who have won a particular Grand Slam the most times in the Open Era .

#3 Novak Djokovic - Australian Open

Novak Djokovic started playing tennis at the age of 4. The 31-year-old completed the Career Grand Slam when he won the French Open in 2016 by beating Andy Murray in the final.

Djokovic has won 7 Australian Open titles during his career, the most by any player in the Open era.

His first Australian Open title was back in 2008. He then won it in three consecutive years, in 2011, 2012 and 2013. Djokovic won his 6th and 7th Australian Open titles in 2016 and 2019 respectively.

Djokovic is the first Serbian male to be ranked World No.1 and he is also the first Serbian to win a Grand Slam men's singles title.

He has won 5 ATP Finals titles, 12 ATP 500 titles and 32 ATP Masters 1000 titles. He is currently leading the ATP rankings by a significant margin.

#2 Roger Federer - Wimbledon

Roger Federer has won 20 Grand Slam titles in his career, the highest by any male player ever. He won his first Gram Slam in 2003, where he defeated Mark Philippoussis 7-6, 6-2, 7-6, and that marked the beginning of his dominance.

Federer has won 6 Australian Open titles, 1 French Open title, 8 Wimbledon titles and 5 US Open titles. His tally of 8 Wimbledon titles is the highest by an individual in the Open era.

Federer has reached a record 30 Grand Slam finals, which includes a streak of 10 consecutive finals from 2005 Wimbledon to the 2007 US Open.

The 37-year-old is just one title away from completing a century of titles; he has won 99 so far, which is the second highest in the Open Era after Jimmy Connors who won 109 titles.

#1 Rafael Nadal - French Open

There is a reason why Rafael Nadal is called the "King of Clay". The Spaniard has won the French Open a record 11 times. No other player has even come close to achieving this milestone.

Nadal has won 17 Grand Slam Singles titles including 11 French Open, 1 Australian Open, 2 Wimbledon and 3 US Open titles. He has also won a record 33 ATP Masters 1000 titles.

The 32-year-old holds the record of winning 81 consecutive matches on clay. He is only the second player ever to complete the Career Golden Slam (4 Grand Slam plus Olympic gold), after Andre Agassi.

Nadal has won 80 career titles, the fourth highest in the Open Era. In 2011, he was named as the Laureus World Sportsman of the Year.
