"Never happened until Musk took over" - Martina Navratilova fumes over increase of right-wing influence on Twitter

Tennis legend Martina Navratilova is unhappy with seeing posts from political right-wingers on her social media feed and stated that it has started happening ever since Elon Musk infamously took over Twitter in October last year.

The former World No. 1 has been left fuming over the sudden surge in political right-wing posts on her feed as she does not want to view such content.

Navratilova took to social media and said:

"Why am I getting tweets on my feed from right wingers , Fox News etc?!? I didn’t want that on my feed. Never happened until Musk took over,WTAF?!?"

She further explained her woes as she detailed the way in which those tweets are appearing on her feed.

"They appear on my line without talking to me directly. Not commenting on my tweets or to me. Understand now? That didn’t used to happen and it is happening. I didn’t change my feed. It was apparently changed for me… that’s the point" she stated.

Journalist Jeff Varner tried to give a reason for this issue, stating that perhaps Navratilova's views on gender ideology have triggered her feed as the topic brings the left and right wings together.

"I think it comes from questioning gender ideology? That’s a topic that brings right and left together. The algorithm confuses the issue I think. We have an opportunity to heal a divide with this topic. I hope we can all stay focused without partisan squabbles," he opined.

Politician Pam Keith suggested Navratilova switch to the recently launched social media platform Spoutible, which the American legend said she would try.

Since venting about the issue, many Twitter users have also come forward and agreed that they have noticed the same on their respective feeds.

However, another section of users stated that there is a level playing field on Twitter thanks to Musk, which has allowed many users to voice the opinions they couldn't before.

Martina Navratilova has called out former US President Donald Trump's supporters for spreading domestic terrorism in America.

The 18-time Grand Slam champion shared a thread discussing American neo-Nazi couple Brandon Russell and Sarah Clendaniel, the founders of the Atomwaffen Division, a far-right extremist terrorist group.

The couple had plotted to attack the power grids in Baltimore and had planned to shut down five electrical substations in the state of Maryland. The couple has now been charged federally for conspiring to destroy energy facilities.

Navratilova took to social media to state that this was an act of domestic terrorism at its worst and it was spread by 'magats' and not the 'antifa' (far-left wing supporters). Magats are supporters of Trump and the name is derived from his presidential campaign slogan, 'Make America Great Again' (MAGA).

"Thread. Domestic terrorism at its worst… and it is not Antifa- it’s Magats," Martina Navratilova tweeted.
