The seventh day (Friday, February 3) of the 2023 Thailand Open was a visual treat for fans, with the likes of Bianca Andreescu, Lesia Tsurenko and Tatjana Maria in action, among others. While some of them secured a spot in the final four, others failed to do so.

Former US Open champion Andreescu advanced after defeating Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk in straight sets. China's Zhu Lin, who registered a fourth-round finish at the 2023 Australian Open, wasn't far behind as she too made it to the semifinals with a straight-sets victory over Tamara Zidansek.

However, there was a major upset that pretty much no one saw coming: sixth seed Tatjana Maria had her run cut short by unseeded Ukrainian Lesia Tsurenko.

Without further ado, here are the results from the Day 7 of the 2023 Thailand Open:

While Bianca Andreescu appeared set for a straightforward victory in her quarterfinal match at the Thailand Open, she ultimately needed a second-set tiebreak to prevail.

The Canadian defeated Marta Kostyuk 6-0, 7-6(3) to reach her first semifinal of the year. The No. 1 seed will next take on another Ukrainian, Lesia Tsurenko.

Lesia Tsurenko upset German Tatjana Maria, the No. 6 seed, 6-1, 6-1, to advance to the final four of the Thailand Open at True Arena Hua Hin.

Ranked No 136 in the world, Tsurenko will next play former US Open champion Andreescu, who defeated her compatriot Kostyuk in straight sets in the quarterfinals.

Chinese Zhu Lin defeated Slovenian Tamara Zidansek 6-2, 6-2 to advance to the semifinals.

The unseeded player will next face compatriot and No. 7 seed Wang Xinyu in an all-Chinese clash.

Wang Xinyu advanced to the final four of the Thailand Open by defeating Heather Watson in a tightly contested match, 6-3, 6-7(7-8), 6-4.

The World No. 81, will play Chinese Lin Zhu next.
