World No. 4 Stefanos Tsitsipas received a lot of backlash from tennis fans for retweeting a post that criticized feminism.

The Greek, who has always been active on social media, shared an old post from YouTuber Iman Gadzhi that opposed feminism.

"Modern feminism teaches women to hate men. Women to hate women that are proud to be women. And makes men ashamed to be men. It’s a real shame to see something that was initially pure turn so cancerous," the tweet read.

Stefanos Tsitsipas received a lot of flak from several tennis fans for retweeting the post, with one calling his actions "appalling."

"Appalling retweet @steftsitsipas, you should be ashamed of yourself," a fan said.

Another fan questioned Tsitsipas on his 'misogynist' outlook.

Another user called Tsitsipas' retweet "shameful" and "harmful".

Stefanos Tsitsipas had a good 2022 season, winning 61 out of 85 matches with two titles to his name. The Greek's most notable performance was undoubtedly his title defense at the Monte-Carlo Masters, where he beat Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the final. He also won his first title on grass at the Mallorca Championships.

The 24-year-old reached the final of two Masters 1000 events in Rome and Cincinnati, losing to Novak Djokovic and Borna Coric respectively. His best Grand Slam performance was reaching the semifinals of the Australian Open.

Tsitsipas' most recent appearance on the ATP tour came at the year-end championships in Turin, where he started with a 6-4, 7-6(4) defeat to Djokovic. He then beat Daniil Medvedev 6-3, 6-7(11), 7-6(1) to keep his hopes of qualifying for the semifinals alive. However, he lost 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 to Andrey Rublev, which brought the curtains down on his ATP Finals campaign.

Stefanos Tsitsipas returned to the top 3 of the ATP rankings this season but dropped to fourth after Casper Ruud reached the final of the year-end championships.
