10 Best WWE Theme Songs of 2018

Long-time viewers will notice that a Superstar can be the perfect in-ring worker but if he lacks allure and an interesting personality, his wrestling expertise alone won’t be adequate for him to achieve greatness.

A key element that sets the top stars apart from the rest is their entrance and their theme song.

Just imagine AJ Styles entering without his “Phenomenal” entrance theme or Jinder Mahal enters the ring with some American pop music being played in the background. You cannot fantasize anything crazier, can you?

To sum up, a new entrance song can make or break a superstar’s career. The best examples are Shinsuke Nakamura and Finn Balor who connected to the WWE Universe thanks to their catchy entrance themes.

#10 Bobby Lashley - Dominance

Bobby Lashley made his emphatic return to WWE on the RAW after WrestleMania to confront Elias, with a new theme song. When Lashley first used this song, the live audience and the ones watching at home weren’t able to identify the superstar. The song titled “Dominance” starts off with a soundtrack which would just bring a dead crowd alive.

I’ve ranked the song at number 10 on this list with the major reason being no lyrics in the entire song. A wrestler like Bobby Lashley deserves a much better theme song. The Dominator’s return has fallen flat. He fought in a forgettable feud with Sami Zayn, then challenged the Big Dog, Roman Reigns and pinned him at the Extreme Rules PPV but somehow failed to become the #1 contender for the Universal Championship and is feuding with Kevin Owens.

To conclude, Lashley deserves a better theme song and much better bookings from the WWE Creative team.

#9 WWE RAW Intro Song - Born for Greatness

Monday Night RAW, which is the flagship show of the company, has had excellent intros in the past and Born For Greatness by Papa Roach is just another addition to the iconic list. This introduction segment has RAW in the red and white background in contradiction to the earlier used red-blue and red-black colour combinations.

The new song is in use since February 2018 as Papa Roach’s band provides the much-needed energy before the proceedings begin.

#8 B Team- Go Go Go

Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel formed a tag team after leaving the Miztourage post the Superstar Shake-up. They called themselves the ‘B’ team, where B stood for Best. The former Miztourage members generated huge merchandise sales and even had a run with the titles at the helm of the RAW tag team division.

Their theme song was one of the most unique ever with both Dallas and Axel chanting “B Team B Team! Go, Go, Go” If you’ve been watching RAW in the past few months, I am damn sure you didn’t read those lyrics but chanted them.

#7 Sonya Deville- Square Up

The WWE Creative team gave Sonya Deville, the former Absolution member, a new theme song following the stable’s death. Sonya along with Mandy Rose landed up on SmackDown Live! after the superstar shake-up in the month of April 2018.

The background music of “Square Up" portrays the boxer persona that Deville possesses and suits the female superstar’s psyche.

#6 WWE Greatest Royal Rumble- When Legends Rise

“When Legends Rise” theme song by Godsmack was the fittest for the first ever Greatest Royal Rumble as a host of legends made their presence felt at Jeddah. This historic event had the first ever 50-man Royal Rumble Match as its main event.

With renowned superstars like the Undertaker, Triple H, The Great Khali, Brock Lesnar taking part, this theme song set the stage for a grand event.

#5 Mandy Rose- Golden Goddess

Mandy Rose, also a former member of Absolution, received a new theme song in May. The entrance theme wonderfully illustrates the Golden Goddess’ character. Full marks to the WWE Creative and the WWE Music team to compose such an appropriate song for Rose.

I won’t praise the song much, just enjoy the Golden Goddess’s theme.

#4 WWE Elimination Chamber - "Man On a Mission"

A song which a majority of you won’t remember. WWE Elimination Chamber 2018 not only had the best wrestling quality on display but also had the best PPV theme song of the year.

‘Man on A Mission’ is the one song which defines lives which have been through bad times but still successful in achieving goals. This was also the plot for the pay-per-view with Roman Reigns entering the chamber losing the Intercontinental Championship to the Miz.

He conquered all odds to pin Braun Strowman, a monster who destroyed the five other men in that match to become the #1 contender for Lesnar’s Universal Title.

#3 Shinsuke Nakamura - "Shadows of a Setting Sun"

Shinsuke Nakamura turned heel at WrestleMania 34 after his match against AJ Styles. The issue with this turn was that his old theme song was a fan favourite. The fans used to sing along with the music whenever the King of Strong Style entered.

This led to WWE remixing and adding Japanese lyrics to “The Rising Sun” (Nakamura’s previous song) and creating a new “Shadows of the Sun” theme song altogether. This energizing song fits the heel persona of the Artist.

#2 "The Best of Both Worlds"

This song gave the message of Team Red and Team Blue combining forces to bring the WWE Universe the best of both brands on every pay-per-view, every month, only on WWE Network.

Watching our favourite superstars dancing and singing to some brilliant music made this song a strong candidate for 2018’s best WWE song.

#1 Ronda Rousey - "Bad Reputation"

The reigning RAW women’s champion, Ronda Rousey has received the best theme song of 2018. Given the character that the Baddest Woman on earth portrays on TV, the lyrics are the aptest. She doesn’t really give a damn of her bad reputation. The background score is dynamic enough to take this musical composition at the pole position of this post.
