Every signing WWE is expected to make over the next month

Well, it's always incredibly exciting for the WWE Universe when WWE announces new signings or when a new signing makes a debut - and it looks like a plethora of wrestlers are set to become WWE Superstars over the next month or so.

Just like the last class of new signings starring Matt Riddle, Mia Yim and Punishment Martinez among others, we're running you through the new signings that are on their way!

If all goes to plan, the following ten stars will begin life as WWE Superstars by training at one of the two incredibly impressive WWE Performances Center in preparation for life in the squared circle as a touring WWE Superstar - either in NXT, NXT UK, or the main roster respectively.

One has already debuted in WWE and another has announced his signing, but there are eight more huge names reportedly on their way to WWE, and a few of them will already be familiar to the WWE Universe, too.

The very first name on the list has to be Walter and, although he's already signed, it's worth a mention as he only signed this month.

The 31-year-old Austrian debuted at NXT UK TakeOver Blackpool, closing the show by staring down the current WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne and threatening to end his monumental reign. Walter also laid waste to Joe Coffey with a big boot before debuting in the ring the following night.

Walter has been wrestling since 2007, making his name in German promotion wXw Wrestling before becoming a huge name across promotions such as Progress Wrestling where he held the Progress World Championship after vacating the Atlas Championship.

Walter also wrestled in EVOLVE, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, Defiant Wrestling - holding gold in the latter two, before signing with WWE.

#9 Trevor Lee

Let's get the other name out of the way who may not come as a huge surprise. Trevor Lee recently announced at CWF Mid Atlantic that he was no longer a free agent and had indeed signed with WWE, to chants of "You deserve it."

The 25-year-old is most known for wrestling in Pro Wrestling Guerrilla and Impact Wrestling. In Impact, he is a three-time Impact X Division Champion and one-time TNA World Tag Team Champion - holding the titles with Brian Myers, also known as WWE's Curt Hawkins.

Lee was trained by Matt and Jeff Hardy and had been wrestling with Impact since 2015 before becoming a free agent. Lee's final match in Impact Wrestling was on December 31st vs Johnny Impact, and he was written off of television immediately after on January 3rd when Killer Kross punched a concrete block through his face.

#8 Kushida

If you're not a huge NJPW fan, you may be unfamiliar with Yujiro Kushida - but he's a huge name and will make major waves when he debuts in WWE.

Kushida is a six-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion and a two-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion, as well as the winner of the 2015 and 2017 Best of the Super Juniors tournaments, the 2016 Super J-Cup and the 2017 Pro Wrestling World Cup. In ROH, Kushida also held the ROH World Television Championship.

Outside of the ring, though, Kushida is also a former professional MMA fighter and ended his career with an undefeated record.

Dragunov would be another huge name and was allegedly backstage at NXT TakeOver UK where his former wXw rival Walter debuted.

Dragunov attended WWE's European tryout late last year and has recently been pulled from a Pro Wrestling Chaos show due to "other commitments" on the weekend of TakeOver in Blackpool, as well as being removed from the card for an upcoming Defiant Wrestling.

One of Dragunov's trainers was Alexander Wolfe of SAnitY.

#5 Shane Strickland

It's been a long time coming!

Shane Strickland recently posted on social media that he's now a free agent. This may not seem significant, but the reason he hadn't signed with WWE already was due to contractual obligations with Lucha Underground last year. Strickland, who plays Killshot in WWE, was very close to signing late last year, so it seems like the time has finally come.

Strickland has faced off against the likes of Johnny Gargano, Tony Nese, Kalisto, The Young Bucks, Ricochet and Kenny Omega, and is a former MLW Heavyweight Champion, CZW World Heavyweight Champion and CZW Wired Champion and PCW Ultra Light Heavyweight Champion.

#4 Jazzy Gabert

This one is just an all-round good news story. Jazzy Gabert was hotly tipped to sign for WWE after making a huge impact during the inaugural Mae Young Classic, but WWE rescinded the contract offer after she was diagnosed with three slipped discs.

Following successful surgery, Gabert - also known as Alpha Female - confirmed she was in talks with WWE and is reported to have signed after appearing in the audience of NXT UK TakeOver in Blackpool.

#3 ACH

At 31, Albert Christian Hardie Jr is another relatively young star who seems to be on his way to WWE. ACH has competed in ROH, Impact Wrestling, AAA and NJPW among others.

ACH stands at five-foot-nine and is incredibly athletic, stating that he's drawn inspiration from the luchadors who competed on WCW when he first watched wrestling at a friend's house as a child after his parents separated.

#2 Kay Lee Ray

While Kay Lee Ray has never been officially signed to WWE, she is one who will be familiar to the WWE Universe from her appearances in NXT and the Mae Young Classic.

At only 26 years old, Kay Lee Ray has a huge future ahead of her, yet arrives in WWE with vast experience having been a part of TNA's British Boot Camp in 2014 alongside current WWE stars Drake Maverick, Noam Dar, El Ligero and Nikki Cross.

Paisley-born Ray has been competing for almost ten years, debuting at only 17 before honing her craft and becoming a top star in ICW and WOS. Ray's ICW came in 2011 where she started out with an intense rivalry against the promotions first ever Hall of Famer in Carmel, ending her debut year with a Death Match. Kay Lee Ray wrestled Nia Jax in a losing effort on NXT in 2015 and competed in the 2017 Mae Young Classic, but was defeated in the first round. She teamed with Jazzy Gabert and Tessa Blanchard in a winning effort the following night.

#1 Viper

Viper is no stranger to WWE
Ad

While the name Viper may not mean a lot to the WWE faithful unless you're talking about Randy Orton, one of wrestling's most unique stars has wrestled in front of WWE crowds as Piper Niven.

At only 27, Viper has a huge future ahead of her and has already enjoyed global success. Viper has been wrestling since 2009 and quickly started wrestling for Japanese Wonder Ring Stardom before becoming the inaugural ICW Women's Champion in her home country of Scotland.

As Piper Niven, Viper competed on the 2017 edition of the Mae Young Classic, defeating Santana Garrett and Serena Deeb before bowing out to finalist and new NXT UK Women's Champion Toni Storm.

Viper is set to sign with WWE to compete on the NXT UK brand where it's reported she'll be the highest paid female member of the roster due to increasing interest from AEW.
