With Triple H becoming a Double Champion by winning the WWE Intercontinental Championship and the WWE Tag Team Championship, his fellow Two-Man Power Trip partner 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin ideally found similar success. And being the most popular superstar of all time in the WWE, Austin was constantly wrapped around in gold, however, in this case, The Texas Rattlesnake managed to win two championship belts at the same time for the very first and only time in his career.

In his fifth reign as WWE Champion, Austin slowly and steadily started developing himself as one of the most ruthless heel superstars in the company, as he along with Triple H, dominated the entire WWF roster, even besting the deadly duo of Kane and The Undertaker defeating them to win the WWE Tag Team Championships.

Austin eventually wrote his name in the history books, alongside his tag team partner Triple H, as one of the very few men to have held two championship belts at the same time.
