10 WWE Superstars who could make their Royal Rumble match debut this Sunday
We're now just days away from the 2020 WWE Royal Rumble. With both a men's and women's Royal Rumble on the card, it will be a chance for a number of Superstars to take part in their first Royal Rumble match.

We have decided to take a look at 10 Superstars who could enter their first-ever Royal Rumble match this year.
#10 Ronda Rousey
We start off our list with one of the biggest names who could make their Royal Rumble match debut this Sunday – former RAW Women's Champion Ronda Rousey. It it still only an outside chance that Rousey will return to the WWE at the Royal Rumble, but with WrestleMania around the corner, this would be the best time for her to return.
The story is perfectly set for Rousey to return during the women's Royal Rumble and win it before setting up a singles showdown with Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 35.
#9 Velveteen Dream
One Superstar who could become one of the breakout stars this year is former NXT North American Champion Velveteen Dream. Dream is currently out injured although its unlikely he wll be able to return this weekend, if he is fit he could feature in his first Royal Rumble match.
Dream has had an amazing run in NXT so far and it won't be a surprise if he moves to RAW or SmackDown after WrestleMania this year during the draft. If that is the case and he is fit, the Rumble could be a great way to introduce him to mainstream fans.

#8 Roderick Strong
The Undisputed Era had a fantastic 2019 and it's hard to see them not heading to RAW or SmackDown soon. They held all the gold in the NXT men's division at one point and now could be the time to think about when they will be called up to the main roster.
Roderick Strong would be a great choice to be in his first Royal Rumble match this weekend, with the idea of them, similarly to Velveteen Dream, getting introduced to the mainstream fans.
#7 Keith Lee
One of the most impressive Superstars for NXT at Survivor Series 2019 was Keith Lee. Lee has already hyped fans up during his face-off with Braun Strowman which took place on SmackDown ahead of Survivor Series. Lee put in a monstrous performance and is certainly one of the favourites from NXT to be in the Royal Rumble match.
He could be set for big things in NXT in 2020 and what better way to kick off his year than with a memorable Royal Rumble match debut.
#6 Walter
NXT UK could also have a presence in the Royal Rumble match and one person who could represent the brand is NXT United Kingdom Champion Walter.
Walter is the top star in NXT UK right now and it would be great to see him reprenting his brand this Sunday at the Royal Rumble in Houston.
Walter was also a part of team NXT at Survivor Series and although he didn't get a chance to showcase everything he's capable of, it could be a different story if he is a part of the Royal Rumble.
#5 Humberto Carrillo
Humberto Carillo is set for a high-profile match already at the Royal Rumble where he will challenge Andrade for the WWE United States Championship. However, there is no reason why he couldn't pull double duty and be a part of the men's Royal Rumble match itself.
WWE already tried to push Carillo last year but it abruptly stopped after a few weeks. The Rumble is another chance for him to showcase what he is capable of.
#4 Bianca Belair
Bianca Belair has firmly established herself as one of the top women in the black and yellow brand.
Belair is set to challenge either current champion Rhea Ripley or Toni Storm for the NXT Women's Championship at NXT TakeOver: Portland in February. Belair is another NXT star who has a good chance of being part of the Royal Rumble in the women's Rumble match.
#3 Matt Riddle
Another NXT Superstar who had a fanstastic 2019 was the ultimate bro, Matt Riddle. Riddle had a number of great Takeover matches in 2019, and even though he came up short in his chase for the NXT North American Championship, he looks set to move on to bigger things.
Another thing that will make Riddle making his Royal Rumble debut even more interesting is that he has repeatedly expressed his desire to face Brock Lesnar, who has already been confirmed for the Rumble match.
Although there is very little chance of this happening, it would be great if Riddle was the one to eliminate Lesnar and book his match against 'The Beast' at WrestleMania.
#2 Shayna Baszler
It pretty likely at this point that former NXT Women's Champion Shayna Baszler will make her Royal Rumble match debut this Sunday. Baszler had a dominant run as NXT Women's Champion until she was dethroned late last year by Rhea Ripley on the December 18th episode of WWE NXT.
Baszler has already proved herself to be a top level talent and is ready to take the main roster by storm. She will be looking to match the success of her close friend Ronda Rousey who co-main evented WrestleMania 34.
#1 Tommaso Ciampa
One NXT star who has no intention of coming to RAW or SmackDown anytime soon is former NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa. Ciampa has spoken about wanting to stay in the black and yellow brand in the past and with NXT on live television now, there's no need for him to either.
However, with NXT lagging behind AEW Dynamite in the ratings war, showcasing him in the Royal Rumble match could be a way to get mainstream fans interested in him and then tune into NXT on Wednesday nights.
