3 Booking decisions that WWE should avoid at WWE Super ShowDown

We are just a couple of days away from the third instalment of WWE's Saudi Arabia megaevents, WWE Super ShowDown, which will take place live from the city of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.

The card for the show looks set with many amazing matches announced. If WWE books this well, it could well be one of the best PPVs of the year. But there are certain booking decisions that WWE and Vince McMahon should avoid to turn the fans against them.

#3 The Demon King suffering a loss

In what could be the best match of the night, Finn Balor would defend his Intercontinental Championship against another former NXT Champion and Mexico's next big star, Andrade.

What makes this match special is Balor bringing back his Demon King avatar to the ring. We last saw the Demon King at WrestleMania 35 where he pretty much squashed Bobby Lashley to win the Intercontinental Championship.

While it could have been a great opportunity to build a new star in Andrade by putting the Intercontinental title on him, the inclusion of the "Demon King" factor has just made it all too difficult to do the same.

In case you don't know, The Demon King has been the most protected character on the main roster, being undefeated ever since Balor's move up from NXT in 2016. Throughout this time, Balor has defeated superstars like Seth Rollins, AJ Styles, Bray Wyatt, and many more as the Demon King.

The booking of the character is indeed justified as The Demon is a huge attraction and should be protected well. While every good thing needs to come to an end, WWE Super ShowDown is not a big enough stage for the Demon to suffer his first main roster defeat.

The rivalry has also not been built that nicely for the fans to be invested in it. Andrade pinning Balor might turn the crowd against him as fans might not like seeing the Demon suffer a loss.

#2 Kofi Kingston losing his WWE Title

Kofi Kingston lived his dream at WrestleMania 35 when he won the WWE Championship for the first time in his career by defeating Daniel Bryan. It is amazing to realize that it has almost been two months since the New Day member won the title.

At Super ShowDown, he is set to defend it against another WWE veteran, Dolph Ziggler who claims that it should have been him instead of Kofi to get all the limelight and respect. In just a few weeks, the two have done a solid job to build-up their match with Ziggler playing a great heel and delivering some amazing promos and beatdowns.

But as much as Ziggler claims himself to have been the one, WWE Universe is still firmly behind Kofi and want to see him have a long run with the title. As much as I agree with the fact that Ziggler also deserves a run with the WWE Championship, now is not the time for that.

Him defeating Kofi for the title is not a decision that will go down well with the fans and Vince should definitely avoid booking it.

#1 Brock Lesnar cashing in to win back the Universal Championship

At number 1 comes the disaster that we all are hoping does not happen. Brock Lesnar winning the Money in the Bank contract was one of the biggest mistakes that WWE made this year. While his little BoomBox gimmick is fun to watch, there's no way fans would accept him beating Seth Rollins to win back the Universal Title again.

The Beast announced on this Monday Night RAW that he will cash-in this Friday, that is, at WWE Super ShowDown. With WWE already announcing his appearance at the Saudi PPV, he's sure to be there. Lesnar has been teasing a cash-in for the last few weeks and it would be interesting to see whether he does it this Friday or not.

Seth Rollins is set to defend his Universal Championship against Baron Corbin at the show, and it would be the ideal time for the Beast to cash-in. With the massive competition from AEW and displeasure from superstars backstage, putting the title back on Lesnar would not be a great idea.
