3 interesting things which could happen on Raw following Money in the Bank (20 May 2019)

The last episode of Monday Night Raw received mixed to positive reviews from both critics and WWE fans alike. While WWE did great hyping the upcoming Money in the Bank pay-per-view, the show overall was a bit on and off.

Nonetheless, the segment featuring Bray Wyatt and his Firefly Fun House was clearly the highlight of a show which featured some big guns from both the rosters (thanks to the Wild Card rule). Also, Sami Zayn replacing Braun Strowman in the men's Money in the Bank ladder match was big development of this week's episode.

Talking of the MITB, the show looks quite predictable courtesy of the recent turn of events. However, a few feuds are expected to conclude on May 19. Thus, the upcoming episode of Raw following MITB could feature WWE laying down the breadcrumbs for a few new feuds. Also, with Super ShowDown being the next pay-per-view, expect WWE to start building up to the event straight away on the upcoming Raw.

Also, with WWE being under some serious pressure thanks to the low viewership and AEW's recent TV deal, a few surprises could be in store for us this Monday night.

So, without further ado, let's take a look at 3 interesting things which could happen on the upcoming episode of Raw.

#3 Becky Lynch decimates Lacey Evans

Becky Lynch might not be the double champ after May 19

Becky Lynch is in for a double-time as she is scheduled to feature in two separate matches against Lacey Evans and Charlotte Flair for the Raw and SmackDown Women's Championships respectively. However, the champ retaining both the titles seems highly unlikely.

With Becky expected to be the face of the Women's division on the red brand, it is highly unlikely she is going to drop her Raw Women's title to Evans. Thus, a frustrated Evans showing up after her loss to cost Becky her SmackDown title seems totally on the cards for Money in the Bank.

And so, the upcoming episode of Raw could feature Becky Lynch in retribution mode. She could absolutely dismantle Evans, laying down the breadcrumbs for a prolonged feud in the process.

#2 WWE announces Samoa Joe vs Rey Mysterio and Dominic in a handicap match for Extreme Rules

It would be fascinating

The ongoing feud between Rey Mysterio and Samoa Joe has been the talk of the town thanks to the involvement of the former's son Dominic. From celebrating his father's win to getting confronted by Samoa Joe backstage, Dominic has been all over the place.

Given how actively he has been a part of the ongoing feud between his father Rey Mysterio and Samoa Joe, Dominic showing up to help his father prevail over Samoa Joe to become the new US champion seems highly likely.

This could then result in an angry Joe featuring the following night on Raw for retribution. And with Dominic reportedly signing a contract with WWE a while ago, plus, the rumors of Mysterio having an angle cut out for his son's in-ring debut, it could be the making of a classic handicap match between Joe vs Mysterio and Dominic at Extreme Rules.

#1 Baron Corbin attacks Seth Rollins to lay down the foundation for a match at Extreme Rules

It might not prove to be a wise decision

While Baron Corbin is scheduled to feature in the men's MITB ladder match at MITB, Seth Rollins is all set to defend his Universal Championship against AJ Styles. However, it might prove to be a one-off match between the duo.

Yes, according to the latest rumors, WWE has been building Baron Corbin to be the next in line to challenge Rollins for the Universal Championship. And it seems WWE is not learning from its past mistakes. Pushing a struggling character who has neither got any momentum nor any credibility behind his back just does not make any sense.

Nonetheless, with WWE seemingly putting AJ Styles vs Rollins rivalry to bed, expect Corbin to attack Rollins on the upcoming episode of Raw to lay down the breadcrumbs for a match at Extreme Rules.

However, I am afraid it might totally backfire on WWE sooner than later.
