We're just one month away from the 'Biggest Party of the Summer'. For the past month or so, Vince McMahon and co. have been trying to build new storylines which can be carried towards the grand PPV of SummerSlam. At SummerSlam, fans would definitely love to see Seth Rollins face someone else as we all are tired of watching him facing Baron Corbin for the Universal title.

WWE will be looking forward to putting a huge role on Brock Lesnar as well. Brock Lesnar may even enter SummerSlam either as WWE or Universal Champion, as he is likely to cash in his contract at the Extreme Rules PPV.

Also, Kofi Kingston is currently scheduled to defend his WWE Championship against Samoa Joe at Extreme Rules. This is a fresh rivalry and the fans would love to see more of the ‘David vs Goliath’ battle. Furthermore, Kofi might face Brock at SummerSlam invoking his rematch clause (if Lesnar successfully cashes on Kofi).

Kofi needs some big stars to headline 'The Biggest Show of the Summer'. And to be honest there are no bigger stars on SmackDown Live than Samoa Joe and Daniel Bryan. Facing and defeating Samoa Joe and Daniel Bryan would only further cement him as the top guy in the company with a huge fanbase.

Ever since the crushing defeat at the hands of Kofi Kingston at WrestleMania 35, Daniel Bryan had to go back to the mid-card where he became the SmackDown tag-team champion with Eric Rowan, beating any team put in front of them. But at SummerSlam WWE would want Bryan to step up and fight for the bigger gold.

WWE has booked Kofi Kingston really strongly for the past few months, which signals that something huge is being planned for him. But first, Kofi needs to get past Joe at Extreme Rules.

#2. Kofi Kingston vs Randy Orton

If Kofi Kingston retains his WWE title at Extreme Rules against Samoa Joe, he'll have to face a new opponent for SummerSlam. And Randy Orton is a perfect option since he is still the best while playing 'the bad guy' and having a good match with The Viper would write another story in Kofi's current title reign.

These two are quite familiar with each other as there was a very anticipated feud between the two ten years ago. Back in 2009, Randy Orton was the top heel of the Red Brand and Kofi Kingston was an underdog. Vince and co. could easily create a storyline between the two for the WWE Championship.

Kofi Kingston is a very improved star both on the microphone and in the ring, and the WWE Universe would see some entertaining in-ring segments between Randy Orton and Kofi Kingston. This feud is equally important for Randy Orton, as he hasn't had legitimate fight since defeating Triple H at SuperShowDown in Saudi Arabia.

#1. Kofi Kingston vs Brock Lesnar

Lesnar will cash in his MITB contract at Extreme Rules

Kofi Kingston has defended the WWE Championship against almost everyone on the SmackDown roster including AJ Styles and Kevin Owens. But the Beast is waiting to cash in his Money in the Bank contract and Kofi's story fairytale could end at Extreme Rules.

Now, if WWE makes the decision with Brock cashing on Kofi, it means we'll have a new champion at the end of the show. Which will probably lead Kingston facing Lesnar in a rematch at SummerSlam.

WWE has recently signed a 5-year deal with FOX which is worth more than $200 million in the month of June to air SmackDown Live on FOX from October 2019. This deal explains quite a few things, some big stars will be moving up to SmackDown Live, which might include Brock Lesnar. Making Brock Lesnar show up on SmackDown could be a real boost the WWE as it signals potential clashes of Lesnar with the likes of Reigns, Orton and others.
