3 potential feuds for Seth Rollins as the new Universal Champion

Seth Rollins has slain The Beast. Yes, you read that right. The Architect, Seth Rollins conquered The Beast to become the new Universal Champion at the Grandest Stage of Them All.

Of all the hype surrounding the match, WWE delivered for the most part of it. Though it could not be called an absolute classic, it was not a damp squib either.

As expected, The Beast Incarnate dominated most part of the match, decimating Rollins with his German Suplexes, however, Rollins had the last laugh when he struck a low blow to Lesnar( while the referee was not looking) followed by a combo of stomps to pull off a huge win. And, boy, did the crowd love it. All in all, it was quite a fascinating match. However, most importantly, WWE did give us what we wanted, a new Universal Champion in the likes of Seth 'Freakin' Rollins.

Well, keeping this in the rearview mirror, let's focus on what's next for Seth Rollins. Given Rollins has become the new Champion it not only comes as a welcome change but also gives WWE a plethora of options when it comes to feuding options.

#3 Roman Reigns

It would be fascinating.

Ever since his return after beating Leukemia, there is only one question which has been reverberating in the minds of WWE fans - When is WWE launching Roman Reigns in the title picture?

Well, guess what, it might not be very long.

Seth Rollins vs Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship could be an intense and fascinating battle. WWE could have a tournament of sorts to launch Roman as the number one contender for the Championship which could be a proper explanation for a face vs face feud.

All in all, two brothers fighting each other for Universal Championship would be 'best for business'.

#2 Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre could be next in line to receive a title shot.

Well, Drew McIntyre might have lost his WrestleMania 35 match against Roman Reigns but don't count him out of this Universal Championship race yet. Yes, as WWE has been pushing him as the top heel of the roster, it is on expected terms that a Universal Championship shot against Seth Rollins could just be around the corner.

And rightfully so, when you are the top heel of the company, you got to be around the title scene. WWE saw that x-factor in him and invested in him since late 2018 and he has not disappointed. He carried the entire division along with Rollins in the absence of the poster boy of WWE, Roman Reigns. It would be a shame if he doesn't get a much-deserved title shot against Rollins.

Also, it would be interesting to see how WWE introduces him in the title scene if/when they decide so.

#1 AJ Styles

This could be on the cards.

AJ Styles vs Seth Rollins for the Universal Champion. Wow. Doesn't it have a nice ring to it?

It seems a bit distant as of now but it is totally possible and could very well be on the cards.

Given AJ Styles has feuded with nearly every top name on the SmackDown roster, there is not much left for him on the blue brand. And with a Superstar Shake-up scheduled for April 15 and 16, a potential switch to the Raw roster for The Phenomenal One seems highly likely.

The red brand would not only provide fresh and exciting names for AJ Styles to feud with but WWE could also book an absolute classic in the likes of Rollins vs Styles, if they decide to go down that road and handover another title opportunity to AJ.

Even though it may seem a bit distant as of now, don't be surprised if WWE decides to pull it off.
