#2 To set up a New Day split and triple threat match

The Shield triple threat match back in 2016 wasn't the best. It wasn't a bad match in any way but the brand aspect of it came off more important than the participants involved. A New Day triple threat match could be different.

Kofi is the obvious babyface in the story and it could either be his two evil friends attempting to snatch the title he worked so many years for or one of his stablemates turning on him and the other staying by his side. Similar to the relationship between Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose after the Shield broke up.

It is fairly obvious that these three would have a great match as they are all great performers but they would also be able to create an emotional, believable story behind the match in the build-up and the shows leading up to the match.
