The New Day

3 Reasons why Big E should turn heel on the New Day

This week on SmackDown Live and Raw, WWE was building feuds for the WWE Super ShowDown, which is scheduled to be held in the first week of June. The pay-per-view itself is going to be a huge event in Saudi Arabia, and the cast is the full of big-time superstars.

This week on SmackDown Live, we saw Big E return from injury. The New Day were at their hilarious best, but a few surprises were waiting for the WWE Champion, Kofi Kingston. He beat Sami Zayn in a one-on-one contest, before Dolph Ziggler attacked him to set up a match in Saudi Arabia. Ziggler claimed that all of Kofi's achievements should have been his. It remains to be seen if Ziggler is given allies to even the odds with The New Day.

#3 It's time for the New Day to split

The thing about factions in WWE is that they don't last for a long time, especially the ones with three members. Vince McMahon always finds a way to break the bond - that is what he did with The Shield, which is one of the greatest trios in the company's history.

So, to break the monotony, he would definitely split up New Day sooner rather than later. The New Day has lasted long enough; they have a considerable legacy as 5-time Tag Teams Champions. Maybe this year is the right time to split them up.

Just like we saw with The Shield, all three members of New Day should also embark on singles runs and see where it takes them.

#2 Big E is destined to be successful as a singles superstar

For most of his career in the WWE, Big E has played second fiddle in groups featuring other prominent Superstars. Big E was in a team with Dolph Ziggler and AJ Lee during The Show-Off's World Heavyweight Championship reign.

Now, he is alongside the current WWE Champion, Kofi Kingston. Big E has always had the moves and the charisma to be a brilliant singles superstar, and it's time WWE give him an opportunity to showcase his talent.

Big E showed his potential as a monster heel in his run with Ziggler; he has also proven his ability on the mic over the years. He also fits the typical kind of Superstar that Vince McMahon likes to give opportunities to, and thus, it is likely that he branches away to embark on a singles run.

#1 A potential feud between Big E and Kofi Kingston

Kofi and Big E would make for good rivals

This is the biggest reason why Big E should turn heel. Not only will that put him directly into the title picture, but the feud itself has the potential to be main event-worthy. When Seth Rollins broke up The Shield, there was a lot of heat between him and Dean Ambrose, which resulted in a very good rivalry between the two.

The same can be possible for Big E and Kofi. There will be some palpable emotion fueling this feud, and that will make it feel sensational. If Big E does turn heel, this would be a proper 'heel vs. face' storyline, which is a rarity these days.

Both Kofi and Big E are hard working athletes; they can engage in a memorable rivalry. This heel turn would be huge if it happens and the match between Kofi and Big E could be one of the biggest storylines leading into WrestleMania.
