3 things which could happen on tonight's episode of Raw (17 June 2019)

The last episode of WWE's flagship show, Monday Night Raw, was quite ordinary, to say the least. While the fans had a lot of expectations for the show given how things unfolded at Super ShowDown, they were left utterly disappointed last week.

If the main event featuring Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins was mediocre, Becky Lynch teaming up with Bayley to take on Bliss and Evans could not save the show either. However, The Revival getting crowned as the new Raw Tag Team Champions after defeating The Usos and Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder in a triple threat match was one of the major developments of the show.

All in all, last week's episode of Raw proved to be a damp squib. Thus, the creative would be under much pressure to deliver when Raw comes live from the Staples Center, Los Angeles, CA, tonight.

Speaking of tonight's show, Daniel Bryan has been advertised for the show. Baron Corbin will reveal the special guest referee for his match against Rollins at Stomping Grounds, and the show will feature fatal 5-way to determine the number 1 contender for the US Championship. Also, with Stomping Grounds scheduled for this Sunday, expect WWE to hype the show tonight on Raw.

Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder lost their Raw tag team gold to The Revival in a triple threat match last week on Raw. However, all is not lost yet as they could very well get a shot to reclaim their lost titles at Stomping Grounds.

Yes, Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder could have a rematch with The Revival for the Tag Team titles, and WWE could announce this tonight on Raw.

Given the stature of the match expect it to land on the pre-show/kick-off show on June 23.

#2 Braun Strowman becomes the number 1 contender for the US title

It could turn out to be a fascinating battle between two heavyweights of WWE

The upcoming episode of Raw will feature Braun Strowman, Ricochet, The Miz, Bobby Lashley and Cesaro competing against each other in a fatal 5-way matchup to determine the number 1 contender for Samoa Joe's US title.

While The Miz and Ricochet are considered to be the two dark horses in this match, one just can't look past Braun Strowman.

Yes, given how WWE teased a potential feud between Samoa Joe and The Monster among Men weeks before the Superstar Shakeup, the Greatest Royal Rumble winner coming on top in the fatal 5-way matchup to face Samoa Joe for the US title on June 23 looks to be on the cards.

A feud featuring two heavyweights of WWE in the likes of Strowman and Joe promises to be high profile. Thus, one should expect a mouthwatering and intense matchup between these two heavyweights if they clash against each other on June 23.

#1 Baron Corbin names Paul Heyman as the special guest referee for his match against Rollins at Stomping Grounds

It could serve as a perfect opportunity for Lesnar to cash-in his MITB briefcase

Baron Corbin will feature on tonight's episode of Raw to announce the special guest referee for his Universal Championship match against Seth Rollins at Stomping Grounds. However, WWE could plan a real shocker by having him announce Paul Heyman as the special guest referee for June 23.

Well, to be honest, it would not be that big a shock. I mean, there has been a huge outcry all over the Internet given the repetitive bookings of Stomping Grounds. Also, WWE has been struggling to sell the tickets for June 23. Thus, it could be WWE's final attempt to sell a few last minute tickets for Stomping Grounds.

On top of that, this would also bring in Brock Lesnar and his MITB briefcase in the picture for June 23.
