3 Things WWE secretly told us on SmackDown Live this week (4 June 2019)

It is the week of Super ShowDown and the anticipation is certainly sky-high. The red brand offered a stupendous episode this week and the fans were eagerly waiting for the blue brand. SmackDown Live produced an awe-inspiring episode with some remarkable segments and good matches.

Alexa Bliss became the number one contender for SmackDown Women's Title when the Goddess defeated Charlotte Flair and Carmella in a triple threat match. Lars Sullivan promised to destroy Lucha House Party in Saudi Arabia, Andrade stood tall after taking down the Intercontinental Champion Finn Balor. The 24/7 Title changed hands when Elias pinned R-Truth but the latter managed to reclaim it by becoming a four-time 24/7 Champion.

We saw a similar scenario like RAW as Roman Reigns was wrecked by The Revival, Drew McIntyre and Shane McMahon. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods beat Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens in a Tag Team match. The highlight of SmackDown Live was the appearance of Goldberg. Interestingly, it was the debut of the former Universal Champion on the blue brand and he was confronted by his Super ShowDown opponent Undertaker.

Two new matches got confirmed for Stomping Grounds this week. Roman Reigns will square off with Drew McIntyre at Stomping Grounds. On the other hand, the five-time Women's Champion Alexa Bliss became the number one contender to face Bayley. The Goddess dominated the Hugger in the past and it will be interesting to see if the former grabs the most coveted women's prize of the blue brand at Stomping Grounds.

WWE already announced that Alexa Bliss would host 'A Moment of Bliss' on SmackDown Live this week. Things got heated during the special talk show of Alexa Bliss. Subsequently, Bliss faced Carmella and Charlotte Flair in a triple threat match.

Considering Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross have been involved in the Women's Tag Team storyline on RAW, it was surprising to see Bliss as the number one contender of Bayley. The Kabuki Warriors could restart their rivalry with the IIconics as Bliss will be facing Bayley at Stomping Grounds. WWE might plan a feud between Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss if the latter manages to become a three-time SmackDown Women's Champion.

#2 Aleister Black is set to get an opponent at Stomping Grounds

While Bray Wyatt has been offering impressive segments on the red brand every week, Aleister Black is doing it on the blue brand. The Dutch Destroyer has been delivering extraordinary backstage promos every week. Black is waiting for his next rival and he might not need to wait for a long time.

The former NXT Champion had a colossal success in the developmental brand. Black made his main roster debut after Elimination Champion. He formed a Tag Team with Richochet and the two men competed for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles at Showcase of Immortals. However, Ricochet is currently a member of RAW and Black is part of SmackDown Live.

Though Black has not wrestled after moving to the blue brand, his backstage segments have been prodigious. Black has huge potential and the company might have big plans for the former NXT Champion. Following Super ShowDown this week, we might see the new opponent of Black. Several Superstars are capable of facing the Dutch Destroyer. In my humble opinion, the former Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy could be an ideal opponent for Black as the former is also searching for a new rival on the blue brand.

#1 Goldberg and The Undertaker will main-event Super ShowDown

The dream match between Goldberg and The Undertaker is approaching fast and we saw a preview of it on SmackDown Live this week. Following an appearance of Undertaker on the red brand, the Phenom asked Goldberg to bring his aggressive side. The former Universal Champion responded on the blue brand and he promised to bring back the aggressive version of himself in Saudi Arabia. However, a huge surprise happened when Undertaker's music hit and the Deadman confronted Goldberg.

Though the two men didn't put their hands on each other, it was exciting to see their face-off. A large number of fans expected a brawl but the Phenom disappeared. The intersting part of this match is that the two legendary Superstars never locked horns in the past.

Considering the hype of the match, it is likely to close the show at Super ShowDown. Though the match should have taken place years ago, they are still competent to deliver an entertaining bout. Regardless of the result of the match, it will be interesting to see if WWE extends the feud till Summerslam.
