3 ways Roman Reigns' return could impact WWE Monday Night RAW

It is official.

The Big Dog is back to reclaim his yard. In one of the better pieces of news we've heard in recent times, Roman Reigns announced that he is in remission. A few months ago, the Samoan superstar told the world that he suffered from leukemia eleven years ago and the disease was back.

He promised to be back after hitting the condition out of the park, and thankfully, he did deliver on his promise. His hiatus has ended within five months.

Let us analyze how the return of the former Universal Champion affects RAW. Of course, there are many bright sides to it. However, it should be noted that there are also some negative impacts. On this list, we will take a look at a few ways Roman Reigns' return can impact RAW.

#3 One more top superstar on the roster

Having more top superstars on the roster is a good thing for both the WWE creative and for us - the fans. Even though a majority in the WWE Universe do not want Roman Reigns to stay at the top, he is a huge merchandise mover as well as a crowd puller.

At the moment, RAW does lack some top superstars on its cards. Seth Rollins, Ronda Rousey, Braun Strowman, and Drew McIntyre are the only top full-time superstars RAW possesses. The blame partly goes to WWE creative for not building up superstars.

Thus Reigns' return will definitely help to increase the star power on RAW.

#2 Heavily centralized booking

The SHIELD vs the Dogs of War was one of the most forgettable feuds of 2018

The biggest problem with RAW when Roman Reigns was on top was that the WWE creative often neglected other talents to craft storylines around the Big Dog. Perhaps, Braun Strowman and Drew McIntyre are the only credible superstars created by WWE in the last two years - at least on RAW.

Just take a look at what happened after Reigns won the Universal Championship from Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam 2018. WWE only cared about Roman Reigns and the Shield. On the next PPV, Hell in a Cell 2018, the only heated rivalry from RAW was between the Hounds Of Justice and the squad of Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler, and Drew McIntyre.

If WWE is planning to repeat the same with Roman Reigns, it will start losing its fans again, especially after WrestleMania season.

#1 Brock Lesnar may remain as the Universal Champion even further

Seth Rollins may not overcome the biggest challenge of his WWE career

The original plans for the Universal title included one where Brock Lesnar drops his big red belt to 'the Architect' Seth Rollins in the main event of WrestleMania 35.

Last month, Rollins won the 2019 men's Royal Rumble - earning himself an opportunity to challenge one of the two World Champions at WrestleMania 35. Rollins had no hesitation in choosing Brock Lesnar and the Universal Championship.

However, with Roman Reigns' return, WWE may change the plan and could leave Seth Rollins high and dry. Since Reigns did not lose his title, WWE may want Reigns to slay the beast again - a decision which means that Lesnar could potentially defeat Rollins at WrestleMania 35.

After such an enormous build up, it would be a disgrace if WWE were to squander Rollins' momentum.
