3 WWE Superstars who were allegedly hard to work with and 3 who were supportive

Much like a duet, a traditional singles pro-wrestling bout needs both of the competitors to understand each other and cooperate during the rehearsal and the actual performance. For instance, in WWE, if one of the wrestlers is hard to work with behind the scenes, and is causing problems to the other while preparing for their match, the eventual outing won't end well for the two and certainly won't engage the audience.

WWE's history is filled with Superstars who were notorious for being extremely hard to work with and oftentimes refused to cooperate with fellow wrestlers before their matches or in general. There were also many more who have been praised universally for being very supportive, helpful, or easy to work with. In the following list, let's take a look at 3 wrestlers from each category.

#6 AJ Lee (allegation made by Cameron)

AJ Lee is praised by many among the WWE Universe for being the unsung hero of the Women's Revolution. The arrival of Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, and Sasha Banks on the main roster is dubbed as the moment that kicked off the Women's Revolution, but it was the collective effort of Lee, Paige and a few others that initially lit the fire that would grow with each passing week. Former WWE Diva Cameron, although respects Lee's work ethic, made it clear that she was hard to work with.

For someone who was new, I wish I could have had someone who was a little bit more guiding and not just kind of like leave me out with the wolves.

I respected how far and the impact she did make on the division. It's just you know some people just can be a little difficult to work with sometimes.

Lee's main roster career lasted for around four years. She left WWE around a year after CM Punk's controversial WWE exit in 2014 and hasn't made a return to the company in any capacity since then.

#5 Cesaro

Cesaro is regarded by many as one of the most underrated performers in all of WWE. Many major stars have stated that they want to see him become a World Champion someday, including former WWE RAW Women's Champion Becky Lynch. Back in 2017, Jack Swagger had tons of praise for Cesaro while talking about the Swiss Superman. He recalled how he's very flexible in the ring and has made all of his tag team partners better, including himself and Tyson Kidd.

He knows exactly where to put things and make a match explosive. ‘Sell, sell, sell, then holy s**t, explosion!’ He’s so flexible, and he’s made all his tag team partners better. He made Tyson Kidd better, and he was the driving force for me in the Real Americans tag team.

Swagger and Cesaro teamed up in 2013-14 and were called The Real Americans. Cesaro went on to win the first-ever Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WWE WrestleMania 30. Around the same time, Cesaro and Swagger split and the former aligned with Paul Heyman.

#4 Corey Graves (allegation made by Rusev)

Soon after making his WWE exit, Rusev made a Youtube account and regularly posts videos talking about his time in WWE. In one of his videos, Rusev talks about working with WWE announcer Corey Graves in NXT, and it seems the two didn't get along too well back then. Rusev stated that Corey once yelled at him just because he asked him to do a spot in a match. Corey told Rusev in response that he didn't want to do it.

Oh, also one time, Corey Graves yelled at me before a match, I never told you that. Because I wanted to do something, he didn't want to do it. I was like, "It's not really a big deal, you know, it's just a little thing I want to do." He said I don't want to do that.

A career-ending injury led to Graves becoming a commentator in NXT, and later on RAW and SmackDown. On the other hand, Rusev enjoyed a lengthy run on the main roster and feuded with the likes of John Cena, Roman Reigns, and many other big names. He was let go by WWE back in April.

#3 John Cena

John Cena's character was that of a good guy who always battled the odds and came out victorious in the end. In real life as well, Cena is hailed by many of his peers for being incredibly supportive. Big Show once talked about how Cena helped him kick off the journey to lose weight. WWE Superstar Cesaro talked about John Cena on an edition of The Bump, and only had nice things to say about the WWE legend, including the fact that Cena taught him a lot back when he was an active Superstar

“He taught me so much coming to WWE. He was one the guys [who] was there full-time. He was in every live event, every pay-per-view, every RAW, every SmackDown. He is an inspiration."
“He told me once you are only as good your last match and I always kind of live [with] a similar mindset.”

At WrestleMania 31, Cena won the United States title from Rusev and went on to defend it on a weekly basis against several talented WWE Superstars, including Cesaro. Their in-ring outing back then was impressive, to say the least, and kept fans on the edge of their seats for the better part of the match.

#2 Brock Lesnar (allegation made by Dean Ambrose)

The road to WWE WrestleMania 32 saw Brock Lesnar getting into a feud with Dean Ambrose. Fans couldn't wait for the eventual match, with the most dangerous entity in all of WWE set to take on The Lunatic Fringe at The Grandest Stage Of Them All. The match was incredibly disappointing though, and Ambrose didn't get much offense. It ended in a hurry and left a lot to be desired. A while later, Ambrose talked about how Lesnar was disinterested in the match from the get-go.

“I think he truly thought he was just doing me a favor. [Lesnar thought] me being in the ring with him was enough to do awesome things for me. I think that’s what he thought. He didn’t want to be there.”

Ambrose added that Lesnar did agree to a pepper spray spot for the match, but he gave the nod on the day of the match and there wasn't much time to work on it. Moxley would leave WWE three years later, and sign with All Elite Wrestling. He is the promotion's current World Champion and seems to be having a great time in AEW.

#1 The Rock

The Rock

The Rock is regarded by many as one of the most selfless Superstars in WWE history. Fans never read or heard about him having issues with losing a match, or a title. The Rock was a team player from the beginning to end and was ready to do anything for the business.

Former WWE Superstar Hurricane Helms talked about The Rock wanting to put him over back in 2003, during an interview with Sportskeeda. He recalled how the higher-ups didn't want The Rock to lose to him, but The Brahma Bull himself pushed for that to happen.

"The Rock pushed to put me over. It was The Rock's idea. There might have been some other people that weighed on it, but there were a lot of people in higher positions that did not want The Rock to lose, going into WrestleMania with Steve Austin. But Rock pushed for it, he thought it would be okay, he thought it would be a "shock the world" type of thing."

In one of the biggest upsets in WWE history, Hurricane pinned The Rock after interference by Stone Cold Steve Austin distracted The Great One. The Rock would go on to defeat Austin at The Show of Shows, finally putting an end to the iconic rivalry.
