3 WWE superstars who don't want to go to AEW & 3 who do

All Elite Wrestling's Double or Nothing show may have had an incredible impact on wrestling fans, but not many seem to understand the impact that it's had on talent as well. Not only did we see the likes of Xavier Woods, Sasha Banks, Bayley, etc. all tweeting in support of AEW, but Dustin Rhodes (fka Goldust), who had the match of his career at Double or Nothing, revealed that 30 WWE superstars messaged him after the show.

There's a clear realization as to what has happened, and the WWE locker room's eyes have been open. This isn't to say that every single star wants to jump, because that's simply not true. But for a good chunk of the locker room, there is definitely a sense of "the grass is greener on the other side".

The fallout of it all is yet to be seen, but we may be seeing the effects over the next year or two. Either way, here are three stars who don't want to leave WWE and three who want to go to AEW.

#3. Doesn't want to go - Shinsuke Nakamura

Shinsuke Nakamura may be a surprising addition to this list given that he's been severely underutilized on the main roster. It's true that he never reached the heights that he hoped he would, but the reality of it is that he probably doesn't care about it all that much anymore.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter stated himself that Nakamura has basically "checked out" at this point. He's in his final years as a pro wrestler and is getting a bigger payout than most WWE superstars. Moreover, he's wrestling a far safer and more restricted style in WWE and he gets paid well for it. In a way, WWE is like his retirement fund.

He lives in Florida with his family, where he enjoys a good life and does what he loves the most - surfing.

#3. Wants to go - Sasha Banks

Sasha Banks was one of the most vocal superstars on Twitter in support of AEW's Double or Nothing show.

WWE has been her childhood dream and she achieved it, winning the Women's championship on multiple occasions as well as being one half of the inaugural Women's Tag Team Champions.

However, there has been a lot of creative dissatisfaction and that was evident based on the rumours of Sasha Banks having a meltdown backstage around WrestleMania 35 period. She was promptly sent home for "personal reasons" and hasn't really been seen since.

While it's not known exactly when she's returning, it seems clear that Sasha Banks wants to wrestle without the drama of having to deal with things backstage and multiple layers of people and officials. She knows the opportunity that's there at All Elite Wrestling and we may be seeing more hints in the future of her wanting to go.

#2. Doesn't want to go - Seth Rollins

One thing is for sure - there's no place Seth Rollins would rather be than WWE. After years of toiling and three years without a World title, Seth Rollins finally finds himself on the mountaintop as WWE Universal Champion.

Seth Rollins has always been a company man and has consistently been one of the biggest workhorses through the years with RAW aptly being termed "Monday Night Rollins". In a sense, it really is his show now that he's the focal point.

He's getting the push of a lifetime on the biggest stage. While he will undoubtedly want the likes of AEW to succeed, it's safe to say that with his big push and also relationship with Becky Lynch, he isn't going anywhere, any time soon.

Until then, all we can do is hope for a dream crossover match.

#2. Wants to go - Luke Harper

Luke Harper is in an extremely tricky position in WWE right now. Prior to his return at WrestleMania 35, he put out a statement publicly stating that he had recovered around February but was just sitting in the sidelines. Restless, he declared that he truly believed he could be a World Champion, but admitted to getting frustrated.

It wasn't long after where Harper publicly announced that he requested his release from WWE. The only problem? It wasn't granted to him. In fact, it was made worse because he was out for injury from August to March, meaning that WWE considered his contract "frozen" during that period and added seven months to it.

Now, we don't know what Harper's fate will be post-November 2019, but one thing is for sure - he wants to go to AEW to prove his worth. And we believe he's too talented to be wasted.

#1. Doesn't want to go - AJ Styles

AJ Styles revealed in a recent interview that the recent WWE contract he signed was "definitely going to be his last". Now, the time period wasn't specified, but the general assumption going around is that the contract is no more than 2 or 3 years.

That's a fair deal and we're sure that AJ Styles is getting well paid for that period of time. Like Shinsuke Nakamura, WWE is basically Styles' retirement fund. While he's made great money outside of WWE, he's been wildly successful in the past three years, becoming a bonafide top star and a 2-time WWE Champion.

There's little doubt that his success will continue and while he most likely hopes for AEW's success, there's really no incentive for him to go to the promotion. He has nothing left to prove and the PG environment of WWE draws Styles in more because he's a traditional family man.

#1. Wants to go - The Revival

Tag team wrestling has been clearly established as an important aspect of AEW's programming. The Young Bucks and Lucha Bros tore the house down with their intense, fast-paced match.

Now we know that The Revival doesn't possess the pace of the Young Bucks or the Lucha Libre skills of Pentagon Jr. and Fenix, but what they possess is incredible psychology and they're a real throwback to the old great tag teams.

There's no doubt that they can put on classic after classic similar to their NXT days and with WWE, they might feel as though their talent is being wasted on RAW, where their rivalry with The Usos is all about shaving each other's backs and itchy cream and more.

If the prospect of AEW wasn't tempting enough for The Revival, Double or Nothing likely confirmed in their minds where they really want to be.
