3 championships that must be introduced in WWE (and 4 that can be discarded)

A month into 2022, and things are already heating up in WWE. Whether it's Brock Lesnar performing as a babyface or his highly-anticipated clash against Bobby Lashley, these storylines are extremely intriguing.

The storylines in the promotion are usually targeted towards the championships. These titles are the top prizes of their respective brands. However, the preferences and opinions of fans often keep changing. WWE has survived in the industry, adapting to various developmental changes and the demands of its fans.

Likewise, the championship scenario in McMahon's promotion is becoming stale. The buffs have demanded the promotion to introduce some new titles and remove some existing ones.

#5. Six top titles in WWE can be unified into three world championships

WWE reintroduced brand extension in 2016, following which every top title was split equally between RAW and SmackDown. Over the past few months, both brands' roster has gotten considerably thinner due to mass releases.

Recently, Seth Rollins, Brock Lesnar, and Roman Reigns have started showing up on both brands. This may be the onset of nullification of brands. If that's the case, WWE must unify its top titles because a world title seems legit when undisputed.

It has been rumored that WWE's planning to raise the stakes of the next Lesnar vs. Reigns by unifying the titles. This implies that the WWE and Universal titles, RAW and SmackDown Women's titles, and the tag team titles will be merged into three separate and individual titles.

#4. Secondary Women's Championship

The idea of women's wrestling in WWE getting similar emphasis as men's was vague a few years ago. WWE introduced an exclusive Royal Rumble, Money in the Bank, WrestleMania Battle Royale, and tag titles to increase women's inclusivity.

However, the women's division is yet to earn a secondary title. Men have prestigious US and Intercontinental titles. Similarly, WWE could introduce the female version of one of these titles. The promotion can also introduce a title not inspired by those on men's shoulders.

#3. WWE may need secondary tag team titles

The main event has vastly overshadowed the tag team division in WWE. Bookings in the division have not been up to the mark in recent times save the likes of RK-Bro.

Either a tag team is a top champion or empty-handed. There's nothing in between. It's the perfect time for the promotion to introduce a secondary tag title to boost the division. As the RAW and SmackDown tag titles are not taken seriously, a secondary title will rebuild their stature as well.

#2. WWE doesn't need the 24X7 title anymore

WWE revealed the 24X7 Championship to encourage action in every corner. The title was poorly received by fans as they wanted to see the hardcore belt.

Nonetheless, stars such as R-Truth and Drake Maverick kept fans entertained. The title changes were initially worth the watch, but the act's stale now. It's been half a year since Truth last won the title. Furthermore, it's barely changing hands nowadays. It'd be best to write off the title with Dana Brooke as the last champion, or maybe hand it to R-Truth one final time.

#1. Fans want to see the Million Dollar Championship

WWE never officially recognized the Million Dollar Championship. However, claiming Ted Dibiase's belt seems like an enormous achievement. The promotion may bring the prestigious possession as an official championship with its rules different from the conventional championships.

For instance, Dibiase may auction off the title to its inaugural champion, or Mr. McMahon may contest a bidding war with special guests at premium live events.
