Except for the Intercontinental Championship, all the singles titles are scheduled to be on the line at SummerSlam. Shinsuke Nakamura, who won the title at Extreme Rules, might defend the belt in Toronto. Considering the Intercontinental Championship match was added in the last minute at Extreme Rules, the possibility cannot be ruled out.

Nakamura is having a feud with Ali and the two men fought each other a couple of times. While they locked horns in a title match at SmackVille, they also faced each other in a non-title match last week when the former Cruiserweight Superstar pinned the champion. Ali already defeated Nakamura on SmackDown Live and he certainly deserves another title shot. Ali could be eyeing to win his first title in WWE if he faces the Intercontinental Champion in Toronto.

#3 The Fiend squashes Finn Balor

The Fiend will be aiming to make a statement

The Fiend, who is the alter ego of Bray Wyatt, is set to make his debut at SummerSlam. Following his return with a completely new gimmick, the former WWE Champion has taken WWE by storm. While the good side of Bray Wyatt has been exciting with the Firefly House segments, The Fiend has been terrorizing WWE.

The Fiend attacked Finn Balor on the RAW episode after Extreme Rules. Apart from assaulting the former Universal Champion, he also got hands on two legendary Superstars. After he attacked Mick Foley at RAW Reunion, he assaulted Kurt Angle this week.

Though Bray Wyatt will bring his alter ego at SummerSlam, Balor will not do the same. Demon Balor is not advertised for the Biggest Party of the Summer, therefore, the regular persona of Balor will fight The Fiend. Considering the build-up of The Fiend in recent weeks, he should not struggle to defeat Balor. The company certainly has big plans for The Fiend and it will not be surprising if he squashes Balor to make a notable first impression.

#2 Gallows and Anderson get banned from the ringside during the US Championship Match

Will we see a fair match?

The United States Championship will be on the line when AJ Styles will take on Ricochet. It was at Extreme Rules where Ricochet lost the belt to the Phenomenal One. The OC have been on a roll in recent weeks as every member of the stable holds a gold, therefore, the former NXT North American Champion will have a mountain to climb at Scotiabank Arena.

The rivalry between Styles and Ricochet has been exceptional. The heel turn of the Phenomenal One has made the feud interesting and The OC always outnumbered Ricochet. In fact, the distraction from Gallows and Anderson helped Styles to win the United States Championship at Extreme Rules.

There is no denying that Ricochet and Styles are two finest in-ring performers of Vince McMahon's company, nevertheless, the interference reduces the quality of a match. If the two men are booked well, they can deliver the best match of SummerSlam. When the US Championship match will take place in Toronto, it will not be surprising if Gallows and Anderson get banned from the ringside to prevent interference.

#1 Trish Stratus loses her final match in WWE

Set for SummerSlam
Ad

Trish Stratus is another big name who will be part of SummerSlam this year. The former seven-time Women's Champion will meet Charlotte Flair in Toronto and the latter will fight one of her biggest opponents till date. Trish recently admitted that the SummerSlam bout will be the final match of her career, so, it could be termed as her retirement match.

Though Trish skipped RAW Reunion, she appeared as a special guest in the following week. The Queen didn't have an opponent at SummerSlam and she confronted the WWE Hall of Famer. Trish was challenged by Charlotte for a mega clash in her hometown and the former accepted the challenge.

Charlotte and Trish won the Women's Championship multiple times as they share sixteen titles between them. The match will be the biggest women's match after the memorable main event at WrestleMania 35. The Queen could add another feather in her illustrious career if she manages to pin Trish. Considering it will be the final match of Trish Status, Charlotte could be an ideal choice to retire the legendary Superstar. Kurt Angle lost to Baron Corbin in his final match at the Show of Shows and we could see the same scenario on Sunday.
