4 biggest things WWE secretly told us on Monday Night RAW this week ( 6 May 2019)

With Money in the Bank approaching fast, WWE produced a great episode of Monday Night RAW this week. Following substandard ratings last week, Vince McMahon is clearly desperate to improve the ratings, and the intention was visible on the flagship show this week.

WWE already announced that Roman Reigns would appear on RAW this week. The Big Dog was not the only SmackDown superstar to make an appearance on RAW this week as we saw Lars Sullivan, Kofi Kingston, Daniel Bryan, and Elias on the red brand this week. As a matter of fact, Kingston and Bryan, two superstars of the blue brand main-evented RAW as they tussled in a WrestleMania rematch for the WWE Championship.

The Viking Raiders took the RAW Tag Team division by storm after arriving on the main roster. Erik and Ivar dominated the Lucha House Party in the last couple of weeks, but they made a huge statement by pinning the RAW Tag Team Champions, Zack Ryder and Curt Hawking this week.

The Tag Team division of the red brand lacked notable names before the Showcase of Immortals while the SmackDown Tag Team division had some impressive teams. The Tag Team division of RAW got a significant boost after the inclusion of The Viking Raiders and The Usos.

With the Usos Involved in a feud with the Revival, the twin brothers are not likely to challenge the RAW Tag Team Champions. However, the Viking Raiders beat the Tag Team Champions this week, and they could be the next challengers of Ryder and Hawkins. The Viking Raiders might win the belts at Money in the Bank.

#3 Sami Zayn could cost Braun Strowman the Money in the Bank Ladder match

Why did Strowman do it?

There is no denying that Sami Zayn has been extremely impressive after he returned from injury. The former NXT Champion immediately turned heel when he came back on the RAW after WrestleMania. Zayn has been dissing the WWE Universe for the last few weeks, and he continued to do it this week. Interestingly, he was interrupted by the Monster Among Men, Braun Strowman.

Zayn is a remarkable bad guy, and his promos have been awe-inspiring every week. His recent segments have lifted his stature in the company but overdoing it could have killed his momentum. Despite disparaging the fans every week, Zayn was without an opponent until this week. Strowman chased Zayn in the arena but the monster subsequently caught Zayn, and he threw in a dumpster.

Zayn could be a mismatch for Strowman, but Vince McMahon's billion dollar company might have a motive behind it. Strowman, who won the Money in the Bank briefcase last year, will participate in the Money in the Bank Ladder match this year and Zayn could cost him the match at XL Center. The two men could renew their feud after Money in the Bank.

#2 The brand split could end soon

Bryan and Kingston main-evented RAW

We saw an unusual sight when a number of superstars from SmackDown Live appeared on RAW this week. Earlier, Roman Reigns was scheduled to appear on RAW, but four other superstars of the blue brand showed up on the flagship. The Chairman insisted that he started a "Wild Card Rule" but it could a hint that the company might end the brand split.

The brand split was re-introduced in 2016 when the rosters became separated for RAW and SmackDown Live. Besides the rosters, the company also brought different belts for different brands. The RAW Women's Title and the SmackDown Women's Title were introduced after the brand split while the same scenario happened for the men's Tag Team Titles.

Roman Reigns' departure was a big blow for the red brand as the low ratings were visible last week. The SmackDown Live superstars arrived on RAW this week, and the "Wild Card Rule" will allow the RAW superstars to appear on the SmackDown Live. With SmackDown Live moving to Fox in October, the company might merge two brands to improve the ratings. The top-tier superstars of the company can appear on both brands if the company decides to end the brand split.

#1 AJ Styles might turn heel

AJ Styles, who will be challenging the Universal Champion Seth Rollins at Money in the Bank, teamed up with the champion in a tag team match this week. The team of Seth Rollins and AJ Styles took on Bobby Lashley and Baron Corbin. However, Styles left the ring after accidentally hitting a Phenomenal Forearm to Rollins. It allowed Lashley and Corbin to win the match.

Styles and Rollins had an official contract signing last week where things got heated. The Phenomenal One delivered a fierce promo, and he put his hands on Rollins which subsequently turned into a colossal brawl.

Styles gave a hint of a heel turn last week, but he continued to show it this week when he walked away from the tag team match. Judging by the actions of Styles in the previous two episodes of RAW, we could see a heel turn soon. The rivalry has already garnered the attention of the WWE Universe, and it could become more interesting if the Phenomenal One decides to become a bad guy.
