Although this seems like a far-fetched idea, Bryan has retired before. What if this major announcement could be Bryan retiring again, this time in character? Ever since he won the WWE Title, Bryan had been talking about saving the planet and belittling the fans for not caring enough about the world we live in. What if the real-life Bryan is done with punishing his body on a weekly basis, and wants to relax?

This promo could see Bryan berating the fans for not listening to his pleas of saving the planet, and state that he can't save them. He would further say that he will save the planet, no matter if WWE is a part of the bigger plan or not. He will do it outside the company, and maybe the outer world will take him seriously.

Bryan will then proceed to utter those two dreaded words, and leave the fans in disbelief. He could then take on a backstage role in the company, and help elevate young talent without punishing his body anymore.

Weeks ago, Daniel Bryan stated that he wants to elevate the SmackDown Tag Team Titles to new heights and see the belts headline a WrestleMania. At Extreme Rules, Bryan and Rowan lost the belts, as Xavier Woods and Big E became champions again.

The backstage promo following the loss saw Bryan saying that he failed in his quest. There's a chance that WWE has decided to turn Bryan babyface again. This is how the scenario could play out: Bryan comes out with Rowan tonight on SmackDown Live and states that he didn't live up to the expectations Bryan had for the behemoth.

Rowan doesn't appreciate Bryan's words and launches a beatdown on Bryan. This doesn't last long though, as Bryan makes a comeback and prepares to hit Rowan with a chair or another foreign object.

As Bryan reigns above the fallen giant, he ponders over the idea of raising his hands, and finally does it after watching the crowd go wild. The segment ends with Bryan becoming his old self again.

A dejected Bryan comes out and goes off on the crowd. He proceeds to take shots at the fans and states that SmackDown Live can't be saved. He tried to start off with the tag team division but failed.

To the surprise of the live crowd, Bryan says that he is going somewhere he will be able to make a difference and do more than he could have ever done on the blue show. Someone like Bryan would be an incredible fit on the NXT roster, and a string of NXT young guns could benefit from getting a rub from Bryan, both on the mic and in the ring.

At WrestleMania 35, Bryan lost the WWE Title to Kofi Kingston in one of the most heartwarming moments in the show's history. Bryan went on to lose a rematch on an episode of Monday Night Raw, and was out of the WWE Title picture following the same.

Tonight's announcement could be Bryan stating that he is done with watching Kofi Kingston ruin the prestige of the WWE Title by coming out and throwing pancakes at the crowd every week. He could say that Kofi has turned the title into a joke, and he will make sure to bring back the credibility that the WWE Title lost due to Kofi being champion.

Bryan could then claim that his quest to save the planet starts off with getting rid of Kofi and bringing back the hemp title belt again. The feud resumes, with Kofi coming out on top at SummerSlam to finally end Bryan's obsession with saving the planet, and possibly him turning face again.

An intriguing scenario could see Bryan coming out and say that he was once associated with a madman on the red brand, referring to Bray Wyatt and The Wyatt Family. Years later, now he feels like that guy actually made sense, unlike the fans in front of him.

Bryan says that the world turned that guy into a maniac, and he has come back on Raw to exact revenge on everyone, but Bryan won't share the same fate as him. He won't turn into The Fiend.

Bryan announces that one thing that he learned from that sinister guy was to always have your family by your side. Luke Harper comes out and "The Bryan Family" is formed, ready to take the blue brand by storm.
