5 dream matches the current WWE roster could give us

When one talks about a dream match in professional wrestling, these discussions usually pit a Superstar from the present against a Superstar from the past, or in other cases, two veterans who have yet to lock horns inside the squared circle.

When Bobby Lashley was enjoying a main event level run back in 2007, Brock Lesnar had been gone from WWE for years. Lashley returned to WWE after last year's WrestleMania and fans immediately began waiting for the company to give them the dream match they had been waiting for.

Lashley was put into a feud with Sami Zayn which was underwhelming at best, while Lesnar kept his spot on the Raw main event scene. Over the course of the past few days, Lashley has tweeted about wanting to wrestle The Beast, and we might finally get to see these two legit MMA fighters take on each other in a WWE ring.

Brock Lesnar enjoyed major mainstream coverage while he was signed to UFC and was the top champion in the promotion. For the past 4 years, before signing with WWE, Lashley worked in Bellator MMA and his record stands at an amazing 15-2.

#4 Asuka vs Ronda Rousey

Although Rousey hasn't been seen on WWE TV, she is still a part of the WWE roster, and her contract will expire around 2 years later.

Ronda Rousey made her WWE debut back at Royal Rumble 2018, when she came out moments after Asuka won the first-ever Women's Royal Rumble match. Ronda tried to shake Asuka's hand, but was denied the same by The Empress of Tomorrow.

Asuka went on to lose her streak at WrestleMania 34, when Charlotte Flair defeated her. On the same night, Rousey won her first WWE match, teaming with Kurt Angle to take on Stephanie McMahon and Triple H.

While Rousey is a legit MMA fighter, Asuka has gone through a lot to reach where she's at right now. She has wrestled some incredibly brutal and unforgiving battles back in Japan, and is a legit butt-kicker who is fully capable of hanging with Rousey in the ring.

Finn Balor made his WWE main roster debut back in 2016, and was immediately pushed to the top of the main event scene. Balor's injury forced him to vacate his newly won Universal Title after SummerSlam.

Bryan retired from professional wrestling back in 2015, but came back last year after he was cleared to compete again. For a long time, both Superstars performed on separate brands in WWE.

After the Superstar Shakeup, both Bryan and Balor are now a part of SmackDown Live. It's only a matter of time before we get to see these two Superstars get into a rivalry, a match the WWE Universe has been wanting to watch for a while now. Bryan and Balor are two of the best wrestlers this business has to offer, and the eventual match is bound to be a classic.

#2 The Club vs Undisputed Era

Styles and Cole

Recently, AJ Styles turned heel on an episode of Monday Night Raw and reformed The Club, along with The Good Brothers Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. Styles went on to defeat Ricochet for the United States Title at Extreme Rules, with help from his lackeys.

It seems like The Club is destined to rule Monday nights from this point on, but there's a certain foursome that is just waiting to come up and snatch the spot from The Club.

NXT's Undisputed Era is possibly the most popular faction in the developmental territory. Recently, AJ Styles responded to a fan tweet, that claimed Undisputed Era is another faction that matters, along with The Club. Styles sent a laughing smiley, to which Adam Cole responded by telling AJ to be careful what he wishes for. It seems like we just might see these two groups collide in the near future, possibly in a War Games match. Hopefully, Styles gets a fourth member by that time.

#1 Brock Lesnar vs "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt

Back in 2016, Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper took on Brock Lesnar in a Handicap Match, with Harper being suplexed by Lesnar like a rag doll. Wyatt watched the beatdown from outside the ring, and the two Superstars never got into it.

Years later, Lesnar is hands down the most dangerous entity in all of WWE. On the other hand, Wyatt has returned to WWE in a completely new avatar, The Fiend. The sinister character looks promising and is almost guaranteed to win his rumored match at SummerSlam against Finn Balor.

Now that Wyatt and Lesnar are active on the main roster again, WWE shouldn't miss out on this opportunity and give us this dream match they have been holding out on since a long time. Watching The Fiend try his mind games on an absolute unit like Lesnar would alone be worth the price of admission.
