5 feuds that could start after 2020 Royal Rumble- Edge and Brock Lesnar's WrestleMania 36 opponents; tag team to split?

The 2020 Royal Rumble was quite an exciting show as WWE paved the way for the Road to WrestleMania. The two Rumble matches lived up to expectations while the match between Becky Lynch and Asuka for the RAW Women's title was a great match as well.

The show could have signalled the end of quite a few feuds, including the feud between Lynch and Asuka, as well as the one between The Fiend Bray Wyatt and Daniel Bryan.

The show could also see the beginning of quite a few feuds, perhaps even potential WrestleMania matches for later this year.

Let's take a look at 5 feuds that could start after 2020 Royal Rumble:

#5 Charlotte Flair and Shayna Baszler

Charlotte Flair now has a ticket to WrestleMania!

Charlotte Flair won the 2020 women's Royal Rumble match, booking her place for WrestleMania 36. The Queen entered the competition at #17 and made 4 eliminations, the last of which was the most important when she eliminated NXT's Shayna Baszler.

Baszler, the two-time NXT Women's Champion, was the last and final Superstar to enter the match and made a whopping 8 eliminations, and was quickly the favourite to win the match. But, Flair cleverly put Baszler over the top.

While Flair will now decide on whom she will face at WrestleMania 36, I have a funny feeling - like many other fans - that Flair and Baszler will engage in a feud following Royal Rumble. Baszler lost her NXT Women's title to Rhea Ripley last month, and now many fans have predicted that she could move to either RAW or SmackDown.

If Baszler does show up on the RAW after Royal Rumble, there's a huge possibility that she could engage in a feud with Flair.

#4 Keith Lee and Braun Strowman

Keith Lee and Braun Strowman were two Superstars who could match-up with Brock Lesnar in the men's Royal Rumble match. Lee and Strowman both tried to dominate the WWE Champion but were eventually eliminated by Brock when they got some offence on each other.

Lee and Strowman have history, having feuded on SmackDown just before Survivor Series last year. Lee represented NXT while Strowman represented SmackDown in the men's Survivor Series elimination match, which was won by SmackDown.

Both Superstars are two of the biggest in WWE and are incredibly agile and quick for men their size. The two may be on different brands, with Lee on NXT and Strowman on SmackDown, but with NXT getting more and more relevant on big PPVs, we could see this happening at WrestleMania 36.

There's ample backstory to initiate a feud, with WWE setting it up way back at Survivor Series, while it seems like the fans want to see it too, considering the huge pop at Royal Rumble.

#3 Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville

Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville have been a team for almost the entirety of their run on RAW and SmackDown, nicknamed Fire and Desire. Rose has been in a romantic storyline with one-half of Heavy Machinery, Otis, who was ringside during the women's Royal Rumble match.

Rose and Deville were both in the match, with the former entering at #8 and the latter at #10. Both Superstars fell victim to Bianca Belair, who made 8 eliminations in the 2020 women's Royal Rumble match.

Deville accidentally hit Rose, who was on the apron, but she was caught by Otis on the outside, and still stayed in the match. Deville seemed distraught at hitting her friend, but that distraction helped Belair throw Deville over the top rope, and into Rose, who was in the arms of Otis.

Both Rose and Deville were eliminated from the match. This little segment of the match could result in either Rose or Deville turning on the other and the beginning of an exciting feud.

#2 Brock Lesnar and Drew McIntyre

Brock Lesnar entered the 2020 Royal Rumble at #1, and for the first half of the match, ruled the roost, making as many as 13 eliminations in the match. The Beast eliminated the 13 Superstars that entered the ring after him, but was finally undone by Drew McIntyre, who went on to win the 2020 men's Royal Rumble match.

Following Lesnar's elimination, McIntyre and The Beast had a staredown as the WWE Champion was in disbelief. They then exchanged some words with Lesnar clearly incensed by McIntyre eliminating him and possibly seeking retribution.

McIntyre teased a babyface turn a few weeks ago, and has revealed in recent interviews that WWE have allowed him to be himself, which has shown a different side of him. This possible babyface turn fits in well if he is to feud with Lesnar, who is clearly disliked by the WWE Universe.

This has WrestleMania written all over it, and it's quite certain that McIntyre will announce on the RAW after Royal Rumble that he wants The Beast's WWE Championship at WrestleMania 36.

#1 Edge vs AJ Styles/Randy Orton

The biggest surprise of the 2020 Royal Rumble was the return of Edge to the ring. The Rated-R Superstar had retired from in-ring action back in 2011.

“So, hey, do I know A.J. Styles and I could have an amazing match, Seth Rollins and I could tear it down and have a classic," said Edge a few months ago, when asked about returning to the ring.

He then went on to say that he could have had that match when he was 35 years of age and not 45. But, now that he has returned, this is one match that would get the WWE crowd excited!

Styles and Edge had a moment during the match, with both of them going eye-to-eye after Edge returned to the ring for the first time in 9 years. Edge even eliminated Styles from the Royal Rumble match, which could be the perfect way to set-up a potential future match.

I can't see this match happening anywhere but WrestleMania, so we could see the feud began on the RAW after Royal Rumble.

Another match that could happen for Edge, perhaps later this year at WrestleMania, is against old tag team partner Randy Orton. Orton and Edge joined hands and former a partnership at Royal Rumble, before Orton tried to turn on Edge by trying to land an RKO.

Edge then threw Orton out of the ring and eliminated him which sets up their feud perfectly.
