5 Legends Roman Reigns is yet to face one-on-one in WWE
Roman Reigns is perhaps the biggest WWE Superstar of the modern era. In Vince McMahon's eyes, he is the next John Cena, although the creative team has stopped pushing him thanks to the backlash he received from fans and also his battle with leukemia.
Reigns debuted on the main roster as part of The Shield at Survivor Series in 2012. Since then, the Big Dog has been a vital part of the WWE roster.
In his 6 and a half years long career, Roman has achieved everything that a WWE Superstar can. He has won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, the United States Championship, the Intercontinental Championship and the Tag Team Titles. He has also won the 2015 Royal Rumble match besides main eventing WrestleMania four consecutive times.
The Grand Slam Champion is one of the only two Superstars who have defeated The Undertaker at WrestleMania. Apart from Undertaker, he has faced a lot of WWE legends like John Cena, Brock Lesnar, Chris Jericho, Triple H, Randy Orton, AJ Styles and on the 7th June, he will compete against Shane McMahon for the first time ever.

He has faced almost every Superstar on the main roster but there are still some dream opponents for the Big Dog with whom he has never crossed paths with. Here is a list of the top 5 WWE Legends that Roman Reigns has never faced one-on-one.
#5 Rey Mysterio
Very few people may be able to recollect the time when Roman Reigns used to battle against Rey Mysterio. It was in six-man tag team matches where Mysterio teamed up with other superstars to take on The Shield. However, till date, they have never battled in a singles encounter.
Looking at the way Rey Mysterio is dealing with his injury issues, it is highly unlikely that we will see him feuding with Reigns in 2019. Also, the fact that both are popular face Superstars, it goes against the case of having them battle in a match.

#4 Shinsuke Nakamura
Surprisingly, WWE has not made the perfect use of Japanese Superstar Shinsuke Nakamura, who is considered as the King of Strong Style in the wrestling community. The major downfall of Nakamura came in the year 2017 when he lost multiple PPV matches to Jinder Mahal. He has not been able to bounce back after those losses.
The former NXT Champion won the US Championship in July 2018 but had a title reign to forget. Also, his feud with the WWE Champion AJ Styles was something that Nakamura fans would love to forget.
Because of his inabilities to deliver in the singles division, Shinsuke has been relegated to the tag team division. But, this does not change the fact that he is a fantastic wrestler and he can have a fantastic feud with someone like Roman Reigns.
Given that they are on the same brand right now, it will be exciting to witness the two icons clash in a singles match in the coming month.

#3 Jeff Hardy
Jeff Hardy has been one of the finest in-ring technicians to have step foot in WWE. Just like Roman Reigns, he has achieved tremendous success in his WWE career. Along with his brother Matt, the Charismatic Enigma has completely changed the level of tag team wrestling.
Jeff Hardy is one of the few superstars who can get a dead crowd going with his unbelievable moves and breathtaking stunts. Even at this phase of his career, he does things that perhaps he should not be able to do. But, the Daredevil has defied his age just to entertain the fans.
Unfortunately, he has never got a chance to battle someone like Roman Reigns. Reigns is known to be a Powerhouse while Jeff is famous for his extreme levels of receiving beatings from his opponents.
The match between Roman Reigns and Jeff Hardy can main event any WWE pay-per-view but now that Jeff has moved back to the tag team division and his out with an injury, the chances that we may see a full-fledged rivalry between the two Superstars are very few.

#2 Goldberg
Roman Reigns uses Goldberg's signature move, 'The Spear' as his finishing move and when the Icon returned to the ring in 2017, the fans usually debated on the subject of which Superstar has the better Spear. WWE can end all those debates by having Reigns and Goldberg battle one-on-one this year.
The former Universal Champions have no problem in competing in Saudi Arabia. Hence, WWE should announce a match between the two when they visit Saudi Arabia next time in late 2019. The WCW icon might not mind putting over someone like Roman Reigns because Reigns has the caliber to carry Goldberg's legacy forward.
WWE has not allowed any Superstar to pin Roman Reigns since he has returned after defeating Leukemia. Hence, they can call Goldberg back with the kayfabe motive of ending Reigns' streak, which he will definitely not.
This match will bring a lot of eyes on the WWE product.

#1 The Rock
This match was heavily rumored to headline WrestleMania 35 but unfortunately, WWE had to nix all the plans because of Roman Reigns' fight with Leukemia. The rumor mill was abuzz with the rumor that The Rock would return at Royal Rumble and then win the match to challenge the Universal Champion Roman Reigns at the Show of Shows.

While WWE could not book this match this year, they can do so at next year's WrestleMania event. The Big Dog can possibly win the WWE Championship on SmackDown Live and then WWE can continue with their WrestleMania 35 plans.
The fans will definitely enjoy this feud because they all want The Rock to return to the squared circle one final time. And, the best way he could bid adieu to the WWE Universe is by having a grand match at WrestleMania 36.
