5 Male WWE Superstars who were pinned by women

It has been a long time since WWE showcased an intergender match on its shows. There was a time back in the Attitude Era and the Ruthless Aggression Era when intergender matches weren't a rarity and we used to witness these bouts a handful of times every year.

As WWE embraced the PG product and began catering to families and children, intergender matches were forgotten. Several other promotions still regularly feature intergender matches, especially small-time indie companies.

In this list, we will be focusing on an interesting aspect of WWE's intergender match history. Let's take a look at the five male WWE Superstars who were pinned by women in a WWE ring.

Around a year after The Radicalz (Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Dean Malenko, and Perry Saturn) made their way to WWE, the faction got into an angle with Lita, Jeff, and Matt Hardy. Team Xtreme was an incredibly popular tag team back then, while Malenko wasn't liked by the WWE Universe one bit. The feud featured several intergender tag team bouts, plus a singles outing between Lita and Dean Malenko.

The fans cheered for Lita throughout the match, as Malenko kept dominating her in the squared circle. The ending to the match saw Malenko picking up a chair with a plan to hit Lita with the foreign object. Matt Hardy had other plans though. He slid into the ring out of nowhere and attacked Malenko, and followed it up with a chair shot to the head.

Lita proceeded to pin Malenko and a referee came out immediately to make the three count. Lita won the match to a loud pop and celebrated with Hardy moments after. Malenko would soon exact revenge at Armageddon, as he teamed up with Eddie and Saturn in a winning effort against Team Xtreme in an Elimination match.

#4 Jeff Jarrett (pinned by Chyna)

By late 1999, Chyna had become one of the most popular acts of the Attitude Era, courtesy her stint with D-Generation X. WWE finally made the call to make her Intercontinental Champion, and she kicked off a feud with Jeff Jarrett. At the time, Jarrett's contract was about to get expired, and he was planning to jump ship to WCW. At Unforgiven 1999, Chyna failed to win the Intercontinental title from Jarrett. She would get another opportunity soon after.

At WWE No Mercy 1999, Jarrett defended the title against Chyna again, in what was his last WWE bout. Jarrett held Vince McMahon for a large amount of money on this night and agreed to lose to Chyna when Vince fulfilled his demands. The ending to the match saw Chyna hitting Jarrett with a guitar, and pinning him to win the coveted Intercontinental title belt. With this victory, Chyna became the first woman in the history of WWE to win the belt. She went on to feud with Chris Jericho and eventually lost the belt to him.

#3 Chavo Guerrero (pinned by Jacqueline)

Chavo Guerrero was doing well for himself on WWE SmackDown, back in 2004. He had defeated Rey Mysterio at WWE No Way Out to win the Cruiserweight title, with some help from Chavo Classic. He went on to defend the belt in a Cruiserweight Championship open at WrestleMania 20. Chavo somehow managed to beat the odds and came out victorious when all was said and done. He soon began getting cocky and laid down an open challenge on an episode of SmackDown.

Jacqueline defeats Chavo:

In an interesting turn of events the challenge was accepted by a female, WWE Diva Jacqueline. Chavo and Jacqueline went at it moments after. As was expected, Chavo dominated Jacqueline for the better part of the match. In the end, while the referee was busy talking with Chavo Classic on one side of the ring, Jacqueline took advantage of the opportunity and hit Chavo with a low blow. To the surprise of the audience, Jacqueline pinned Chavo to win the Cruiserweight title. She held the belt for a short period of time, and dropped it later to Chavo at Judgment Day 2004.

#2 Heath Slater (pinned by Lita)

For the better part of his WWE career, Heath Slater was used as an enhancement talent. Back in 2012, Slater was involved in a segment on the 1000th episode of WWE RAW, that saw several WWE legends embarrassing him in the ring. It all began when Heath demanded a "No DQ, No Countout" bout and guaranteed that he would come out victorious. Fans couldn't believe their eyes when they saw Lita making her return to WWE, and accepting the challenge.

Lita immediately revealed that she had hired A.P.A. for protection, and the match kicked off. Slater was hit with a Twist of Fate, which was followed by Bradshaw hitting him with a Clothesline From Hell. A Moonsault finished things for Slater and he was pinned by Lita. The match was followed by Lita, A.P.A., and other legends celebrating in the ring, and Farooq taunting a fallen Slater with his famous catchphrase. It had been a long time since Lita was sen on WWE TV, and fans couldn't have been happier to see her perform in the ring, even it was for one night.

#1 Chris Jericho (pinned by Chyna)

When Chyna defeated Jeff Jarrett at WWE No Mercy 1999, she made history by becoming the first woman to hold the Intercontinental title belt. The 9th Wonder of the World had a tough road ahead of her, as a string of men were gunning for her belt. One of these men was WWE's latest signee, Chris Jericho. A few weeks before the feud kicked off, Jericho had made his way to WWE and interrupted none other than The Rock. His debut is still regarded as one of the greatest moments in WWE RAW history.

He began feuding with Chyna for the coveted title, and a match was set between the two at Survivor Series. At the event, Jericho and Chyna engaged in a hard-hitting fight. In the end, Miss Kitty's distraction led to Chyna hitting Jericho with a low blow, followed by a Pedigree from the top rope. This was enough for her to score a pin over Jericho. Chyna would lose the belt to Jericho a few weeks later at WWE Armageddon.
