Under no circumstances should Brock Lesnar win the Royal Rumble

5 Mistakes that Vince McMahon should not make at any cost at WWE Royal Rumble 2020

Vince McMahon doesn't need my advice. He is a man who has today created an empire that is known as WWE, from what used to be a regional form of entertainment.

But the wrestling fan of 2020 is extremely opinionated and he/she can sometimes voice his/her displeasure to such an extent that it just hijacks the rest of the show. This was especially the case a few years ago when Roman Reigns won the Royal Rumble match and Daniel Bryan was eliminated and WWE will not want to land in such a situation again.

So here are 5 things that the company must avoid doing at any cost, in my personal opinion. Be sure to leave a comment and let me know your thoughts in the section that's right below.

Let's start off with a decision that will definitely have the crowd booing their hearts out.

#5 Brock Lesnar wins the Royal Rumble match

The truth is that when Brock Lesnar enters the Royal Rumble match at No.1, there's always a chance that he's going to win the whole thing clean. This is the same man who ended The Undertaker's legendary streak and also the historic reign of Kofi Kingston in a matter of mere seconds. So, as I was saying, there's always the possibility that Brock Lesnar will win the whole thing to the dismay of the audience and Vince McMahon must not let that happen at any cost.

There's a chance to create a brand new Superstar by having him eliminate Brock Lesnar during the course of the contest. Matt Riddle could certainly rise a level or two in this manner and so could Drew McIntyre, who's been portrayed as an unstoppable force. For Vince McMahon to have Brock Lesnar win would be a waste of a story, I do fear.

#4 Daniel Bryan defeats The Fiend

The Fiend is one of the most compelling characters that has been created by WWE in quite some time, and I have a feeling that it is going to be the winner of the Royal Rumble that eventually dethrones the reigning and defending Universal Champion. Whether it is Roman Reigns or Keith Lee as is being speculated remains to be seen, but for Daniel Bryan to defeat The Fiend ahead of WrestleMania does not make any sense.

I know that Daniel Bryan is absolutely red-hot at the moment and that the 'Yes!' movement is back once again but even that isn't enough for him to stall the momentum of The Fiend, in my opinion at least. For Vince McMahon to book a title change at this point in time would just take away a lot of what made the Fiend character special.

Bear in mind that he's a man who kicked out of multiple Curb Stomps from Seth Rollins during their feud. And for Daniel Bryan to lose the feud may not necessarily hurt him too much.

#3 Edge comes in and gets eliminated quickly

There's a lot of talk about Edge possibly returning at the Royal Rumble for a very special appearance. This talk was fueled by the fact that Edge delivered a spear to Elias at SummerSlam last year, which was the first 'physical' thing he's done in quite some time.

There is always a safe way to bring Edge into a Royal Rumble match and have him eliminated in such a manner that it doesn't hurt him. The fact that Randy Orton even mentioned him by name during a promo not very long ago has also set the rumor mills aflutter, with many believing that Edge could come back very soon indeed.

But for Edge to come in and not win the match would just make the fans very upset, I fear. It would just take away from the rest of the match, which I'm guessing will be very eventful indeed.

There's no point in bringing him for a spot if the response from the WWE Universe is negative because of the outcome I've outlined.

#2 Asuka defeats Becky Lynch to become Champion

Becky Lynch is the most over Superstar in WWE at the moment, male or female, and for her to drop the Championship to Asuka wouldn't be ideal. I like the story of Asuka being the one mountain that she is unable to climb, but for Becky Lynch to lose to Asuka at this point just doesn't make sense. I doubt that Vince McMahon would have Asuka beat his biggest star either, at this point, and will probably want Lynch to carry her title all the way to WrestleMania.

As interesting as the build to Asuka vs. Becky Lynch has been, it is very clear that Becky Lynch is coming out at the losing end of the feud time and time again because it's set up to make Asuka seem like a threat when she's not. Becky Lynch will be challenged by the winner of the Royal Rumble, which could be either Shayna Baszler or even Nia Jax.

Asuka has lost a lot of her steam, and I doubt she's in the same position that she used to be in.

#1 Charlotte Flair wins the Royal Rumble match

A few decades from now, when the history of the WWE Women's Division is spoken about, Charlotte Flair is a name that is bound to come up because of everything that she's accomplished. She's arguably the greatest female Superstar in the history of the business and has been instrumental in elevating the division from a sideshow to the main event.

And yet, the tricky thing about her booking is that her critics believe that she is booked far too strongly, winning almost all of the time. You can catch her own response to such critics, as she cut a promo during an interview with Sportskeeda's own Gary Cassidy.

And yet, for Charlotte Flair to win the Royal Rumble would obviously invite a whole lot of boos, and moreover, I think we've seen far too many clashes between her and Becky Lynch. Vince McMahon could always book a clash with Bayley/Lacey Evans but honestly, that's not an exciting match-up.

I'd much rather see Nia Jax winning the match and challenging Becky Lynch.
