5 Potential announcements The Bella Twins could make on Friday Night SmackDown

It's official, for the first time since Evolution back in 2018, The Bella Twins will be returning to WWE TV since it was announced that the two former Divas Champions would be guests on A Moment of Bliss with Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss this Friday Night.

Both Nikki and Brie recently announced that they were pregnant at the same time, whilst Nikki celebrated the new year in style by announcing that she was engaged to her Dancing With The Stars partner Artem Chigvintsev. It's been a long road for Nikki following the breakdown of her relationship with former 16-time World Champion John Cena back in 2018, but she is now finding her feet.

There are several reasons why The Bella Twins are making an appearance on SmackDown this week, and here are just a few potential announcements that they could make.

#5. A new season of Total Bellas

Total Bellas has become just as popular as Total Divas in recent years with the show being able to follow the lives of The Bella Twins outside of the ring. Since Nikki and Brie both opted to walk away from the company, this has been the only way that fans can keep track of the two former Champions.

Now that they have announced their pregnancies, the new season could be must-watch television.

Interestingly, Nikki and Brie already announced back in 2019 that there would be a fifth season of Total Bellas and that it would premiere on April 9th, 2020.

Now that Nikki and Brie are not part of WWE, they don't gain any free publicity from the company, so this could be their way of advertising the return of the show and informing the WWE Universe about the secrets that will be revealed in season five.

#4. Their return to the ring

The Bella Twins are currently pregnant, which means that they won't be able to do anything physical on SmackDown on Friday night, but that doesn't mean that they can't announce their return to the ring whilst they are there, or hint that 2021 will see the return of the Bella Twins in a WWE ring.

The Women's Tag Team Championships have been on the minds of the Bella's for the past year and they have teased numerous times that they want a match for the titles, and given the fact that the titles have been overlooked so much in WWE in recent months, this could be the promotion the titles need.

Are Nikki and Brie making their return to SmackDown to tease a match against the likes of Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross or even The IIconics when they are able to return to the ring in 2021? After all, this would give Brie and Nikki something to work towards after their children are born later in the year.

#3. New WWE show

There seems to be an ongoing trend in WWE's Women's Division at present with Brie Bella set to welcome her second child, Maria recently welcoming her second and Maryse being the first of all three to become a mother for a second time.

It's interesting that WWE hasn't already pitched the idea of a show that would see all of the mothers bringing up their children. "Growing up Bella" may be a title that has a horrendous storyline attached, but it's not a bad name for a show that sees the Bella Twins raising their children.

If WWE decided to include other WWE mothers much like Mickie James, Ronda Rousey when she announces her pregnancy and Lacey Evans, then there's nothing stopping the name being changed and the company instead having a show all about raising the next generation of WWE stars.

WWE could have already decided on this idea and it could be the reason why Nikki and Brie are set to reappear on WWE TV after more than a year away.

#2. To officially announce their pregnancies to the WWE Universe

Nikki and Brie Bella announced their pregnancies to the world a few weeks ago and have since been supported by The Bella Army who have wished the two women the best of luck with what could be the toughest part of their lives.

Throughout the course of their career, Nikki and Brie have stated that the WWE Universe is like their family and a return to announce their pregnancies officially to the WWE Universe wouldn't be the strangest thing that the twins have ever done.

Whilst there, this could be a way for Bayley to get over as even more of a heel alongside Sasha Banks since the two women have been on a mission to prove that Lacey Evans can't be a mother and a WWE star in recent months.

It could also be a way to further get Evans over as a face if she is able to return and interact with The Bella Twins in regards to their good news, either way, there is potential for WWE to use their appearance in current storylines.

There's also the chance that at 16 weeks, Nikki and Brie could be there to announe the gender of their babies.

#1. Hall of Fame induction

There have been rumors circulating over the past few weeks regarding The Bella Twins and a Hall of Fame induction. The Hall of Fame Ceremony is over a month away but WWE is yet to announce any of the 2020 inductees other than the NWO and Batista.

A number of names have been floating around for this year's class including Jushin Thunder Liger, The British Bulldog, and even JBL, but until WWE makes the official announcement there are expected to be many more names added to the hat in the weeks to come.

The Bella Twins definitely deserve their Hall of Fame induction given the impact that they have had on the Women's Division as a whole, over the past decade. It is likely that this is the reason they will be live on Friday Night SmackDown tomorrow night, and it will add to the fantastic year that the two women are currently having if they are not only able to announce that they will be inducted, but also who they have chosen to do the honors.
