5 Reasons why Bobby Lashley won the WWE Championship

'The Almighty' Bobby Lashley is the new WWE Champion as he defeated The Miz in the main event of Monday Night RAW tonight. With that, The Miz's second WWE title reign ended a little over a week after winning it at WWE Elimination Chamber 2021.

The night however was filled with a lot of drama as The Miz tried to get himself out of this match in every possible way. At first, he made the excuse of having cramps and being unable to compete tonight. Later, when the match between Bobby Lashley and The Miz started, The A-Lister ran out of the ring and got himself counted out to retain the WWE title.

However, his luck ran out as Shane McMahon announced that if The Miz does not compete tonight, he will strip him of the title and award it to Bobby Lashley. With no choice left, The Miz had to defend his title in the main event, and to make things worse, Shane McMahon made it a lumberjack match. Ultimately, Bobby Lashley dominated The Miz and made him tap out to the Hurt Lock.

Bobby Lashley has been one of the most dominant WWE Superstars throughout his time in the company, except for the short time when he was paired up with Lana. He has won the Intercontinental and the United States Championships but surprisingly, has never held the WWE Championship ever.

For someone of his caliber, Bobby Lashley winning the WWE title was long overdue and it finally happened on Monday Night RAW tonight. The Almighty Era has begun and the WWE Universe can't wait to witness what Bobby Lashley brings to the show as the WWE Champion.

#4 Bobby Lashley has been the best-booked WWE Superstar on RAW lately

Bobby Lashley's WWE career was revived last year when he joined hands with MVP to form The Hurt Business. The faction kept growing with the addition of Shelton Benjamin and then Cedric Alexander, and The Hurt Business has been one of the best things about Monday Night RAW in the last year.

As for Bobby Lashley, he has arguably been the best-booked WWE Superstar on Monday Night RAW recently. From his dominant United States Championship title reign to him attacking and destroying Drew McIntyre at WWE Elimination Chamber 2021, Bobby Lashley has been booked as an absolute monster.

Bobby Lashley deserves to be the WWE Champion as he brings legitimacy to the competition. He looks the part and is a much more believable champion than many others on the current roster. After such an amazing booking in the last few months, it would have been a shame, had he lost to The Miz tonight. It was great to see him pick a dominant victory over The A-Lister.

#3 The Miz was always supposed to be a transitional champion before losing the title to Bobby Lashley

The Miz losing the WWE Championship to Bobby Lashley tonight on Monday Night RAW was the best decision and it made perfect sense. It was Bobby Lashley and The Hurt Business that helped The Miz win the WWE Championship via the Money in the Bank cash-in at WWE Elimination Chamber 2021.

However, The Miz was always supposed to be a transitional champion. With all due respect to The Miz, him being in the WWE Championship match at WrestleMania 37 wouldn't have been as exciting as Bobby Lashley being in it.

As per reports, The Miz is set to team up with John Morrison and feud with the newest joiners on Monday Night RAW, former NXT North American Champion Damian Priest, and the current WWE 24/7 Champion, Bad Bunny.

The two teams are set for a WrestleMania 37 show-down and that probably is a better idea for The Miz rather than him going into WrestleMania as the WWE Champion.

#2 To set up Bobby Lashley vs. Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 37

Speaking of WrestleMania 37, Bobby Lashley is now likely going to enter The Showcase of Immortals as the WWE Champion. Who could be his challenger? Well, who better than the man who kicked-off Monday Night RAW tonight and had an amazing match with Sheamus, the former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre.

Bobby Lashley vs. Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 37 will be a blockbuster match and the two have a great history and reason to feud against each other. Drew McIntyre defended his WWE Championship successfully inside the Elimination Chamber 2021, only for Bobby Lashley to appear and destroy him completely, allowing The Miz to cash-in his Money in the Bank contract and become the WWE Champion.

Drew McIntyre will definitely be looking for revenge and as he mentioned on Monday Night RAW tonight, he is coming after the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 37. Bobby Lashley winning the WWE Championship tonight would ensure that he has a decent one-month long title reign before probably dropping it to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 37.

#1 Building Bobby Lashley up for a future encounter with Brock Lesnar

The biggest dream match for Bobby Lashley ever since his WWE return in 2018 is undoubtedly against the former WWE and Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar. Bobby Lashley has himself made it clear on multiple occasions that he wants to face Brock Lesnar. However, The Almighty wasn't booked as a proper threat to The Beast Incarnate until now.

Now, WWE can throw us all a massive curveball by letting Brock Lesnar return to challenge Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 37. However, that looks unlikely at this point in time, considering the status of Lesnar, the situation of the world, and most importantly, the storyline in place of Drew McIntyre to challenge Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania 37.

But this victory could definitely be a way to build Bobby Lashley up for a future encounter against Brock Lesnar, maybe at SummerSlam 2021 or even WrestleMania 38. The battle of promos between Bobby Lashley's manager MVP and Brock Lesnar's advocate Paul Heyman would be a treat to watch for the fans.

Comment down and let us know your reactions to this massive title change on Monday Night RAW tonight.
