Paul Heyman took the wrestling world by storm when he announced that his client Brock Lesnar will cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase on Raw this week. Now, many thought that was nothing more than WWE getting fans to tune into Raw, as ratings aren't going through the roof at the moment.

After witnessing Lesnar tease another Money in the Bank cash-in instead of cashing it in as he promised, it feels like WWE has cheated us by using their classic bait-and-switch tactic. However, what if the company was diverting our attention from the real cash in, as some have theorized that the real cash in would be for the WWE Title.

This theory of Lesnar cashing in his contract this week stemmed from a rumour that marketed itself as a potential spoiler, as it was reported that Lesnar would leave Raw as champion, but as you know by now that did not happen.

However, while WWE used Lesnar's cash in on Raw as a tease to increase viewership, could he actually try to jump Kofi Kingston at Super Showdown. Well, that does sound far fetched at the moment, but for now, let's analyze the reasons why it could be a possibility.

#1 Not Stuck On Repeat

It doesn't make sense for this feud to happen again.

Brock Lesnar vs Seth Rollins is a programme that is more tired than a marathon runner after completing their 40-kilometre race, as WWE had given us almost four years of Rollins and Lesnar feuding with one another. While this rivalry was fresh at first, now it feels like a burden on Raw, as the red brand needs to tell fresh stories and produce current matches in the main event scene.

One indicator that WWE might be working their entire fanbase into thinking Lesnar will cash in on Rollins is to obverse the Universal Champion's feuds. Rollins is embroiled in unfinished stories with AJ Styles and Baron Corbin at the moment, also one should not forget the looming threat that Drew McIntyre poses even though he is not in the title picture.

Lesnar is not needed on Raw, but he is required on SmackDown. On the flagship show, Lesnar is just there to bring people back to the product, but once SmackDown Live moves to FOX, we might never see the man on the brand again.

Rollins war with Lesnar may look far from over, but it could be, as WWE already have wrestlers waiting to battle Rollins for the Universal Title, while Lesnar is more of a side story in the Universal Championship picture.

However, if you take out Ziggler from the equation, WWE has been keeping Kofi's schedule open since he won the WWE Title at WrestleMania, as some would even argue that Ziggler merely a placeholder number one contender for Kingston. But whose place is Ziggler keeping warm?

Well, it seems kind of certain at this point that Lesnar could Kofi's first big challenger for the WWE Title, as every challenger from Kevin Owens to Daniel Bryan has been short term feuds for the champion, but Lesnar could be the real deal.

Moreover, when you look at what WWE has been doing with Kofi over the last few weeks, you would realize they have cleverly set up a match between himself and Lesnar. Kofi has been talking about defining his legacy as WWE Champion by beating Lesnar, so could we see this feud kick off at Super ShowDown?

And if you are wondering what will Ziggler do if Lesnar becomes the champion, well, WWE's plans change on a dime, so Ziggler could be finding himself in the back of the line again. As rumours have stated that Ziggler only got a chance at the WWE Title at the event due to other Superstars not wanting to work the show.

The reason for so many people getting their hopes up for potential cash in on Raw this week was due to a rumour that circulated on Monday night telling fans that they could see Lesnar walk away with the World Title.

However, nothing of that sort happened as WWE once again just teased the cash in, but what if this game of 'will Lesnar cash in or not' is a tactic by the company to distract fans from the true cash in. I spoke about this earlier in the article, and for starters, the initial rumour could still be true to some extent, as the source for this news is none other Dave Meltzer himself.

While Meltzer's information is not always on point, most of the time the rumours he leaks actually happen, as his sources often give him the right end of the story. Also, there are a ton of wrestling critics who have given some stable reasoning for this actually happening, and it makes more sense that Lesnar will go for Kingston, as his unwillingness to cash in the briefcase on Rollins made it clear WWE have other plans in mind.

Moreover, another rumour surfaced a day ago that Lesnar's assault on Rollins on Monday Night Raw might have been a way for WWE to write the Universal Champion out of the show. This means that Lesnar could indeed be going for Kofi's WWE Title at the event.

The main reason why Brock Lesnar could become the new WWE Champion at Super ShowDown is due to the fact that SmackDown Live will move to FOX later this year in October. FOX airing SmackDown Live is a billion dollar deal, so it's understandable when rumours indicated that the FOX wants the biggest stars on the brand. From Roman Reigns to Ronda Rousey, it seems as if WWE is gearing up for a jam-packed SmackDown Live roster that will be star-studded from top to bottom.

And when looking to cement a show as one of the best, obtaining the rights to use Brock Lesnar is a must. Many have predicted that Lesnar could end up cashing in on Kofi for the WWE Title for this reason, as we all know that Kofi's fairytale title reign will have to conclude with this deal in hindsight. So, if Lesnar does shockingly win the WWE Title, this would be the biggest reason why.

#5 The real reason Reigns moved to the Blue Brand

The feud that never ends.

The biggest star in WWE today is Roman Reigns, as the former WWE Champion may not be in the main event right now, but it is clear that WWE is keeping him in the background until a certain date. Reigns being in the main event of whichever show he resides is a definite, but the question is when?

Well, if Lesnar comes away with WWE Title sooner rather than later, you could get your answer. Reigns vs Lesnar is a narrative that has been exhausted, as we have witnessed these men fight over the World Title on more occasions than most would have wished for, but it seems that this match is exactly what will be main eventing FOX's SmackDown Live.

While we may not like it, Reigns vs Lesnar makes sense given the 'real fight feel' FOX is reportedly going for with their style of programming. Moreover, Lesnar winning the title this early makes sense when you consider that WWE would want to slowly push Reigns back into the main event scene over the next few months.

Now, there is evidence to suggest that Reigns and Drew McIntyre could be feuding with each other after Reigns is done with Shane McMahon, but the truth about this feud is that it feels like filler. For fans wanting to see this feud blossom, this might be the truth, as Reigns reportedly battling McIntyre at the Extreme Rules and Stomping Grounds pay-per-views could be filler for his next big title feud.

Moreover, when you look at possible way Kofi's title reign could end, Reigns seems like the only other star besides Lesnar that can take the belt from Kofi. However, Reigns being the man to end Kofi's dreams would give him nuclear heat, which is something WWE cannot afford to give Reigns at the moment.

While for Lesnar that would be perfect heat to have when he is champion. Therefore, Reigns could come in the title picture at Survivor Series (the first pay-per-view after FOX airs SmackDown Live) after he is done with McIntyre to destroy the part-timing veteran, and send him packing from the main event like a true peoples champion And you know that is Vince McMahon's perfect version of a wrestling fairytale comes to life.
