John Morrison had an amazing tenure in WWE

Morrison fought some of the greatest wrestlers of his time like Rey Mysterio, Dolph Ziggler, Edge, Jeff Hardy and others. He held the tag team title with the Miz and was highly successful in defending the title against several teams.

His biggest advantage was that he could perform both as a face and as a heel. Once Morrison and WWE parted their ways, WWE tried to fit in several superstars in his shoes, but none could match the standards that he had set. Bringing Morrison back will be equally beneficial to both WWE and also for him. Currently, he is signed to Impact Wrestling but he is not getting the opportunities that a wrestler like him deserves. Till date, in Impact wrestling, he has not won any championship.

John Morrison and The Miz have a lot of history between them. They both started their careers in WWE as opponents, then paired up as a team and again split up. Both as a team and even as opponents, they had ups and downs. The history and the chemistry between both of them are simply peerless.

Both of them initially feuded for the ECW Championship. Then, they teamed up and won the WWE Tag Team Championship. They both defended the title for a record number of 247 days against almost all possible pairs in the WWE then. Later, in 2008 they won the World Tag Team Championship and reigned for 113 days.

But things turned ugly, once they split up, and started performing in different brands. Miz won the United States Champion on RAW and Morrison was the Intercontinental Champion in SmackDown. They both had a feud and faced each other at Bragging Rights pay-per-view in 2009 to establish the supremacy of one over another. Miz went on to defeat Morrison and was the only member of RAW to score a victory over SmackDown.

If Morrison returns, he can form various disputes, plots and unfold several competitions with The Miz. He can challenge The Miz for the Intercontinental Championship. The reason these two can main-event several matches and live events are because they both know each other inside out. The duo can put forward unique entertainment quotient in front of the WWE Universe. If this happens, it will be one of the most dreadful rivalries in the PG era.

Throughout his career in WWE, Morrison has constantly proved it to the WWE Universe, that he is champion material. John Morrison held the WWE and World Tag Team championships. He was also the Intercontinental and the ECW World Champion.

The United States Championship is one of the prestigious titles, he has never won in WWE. If he returns to WWE, a clash between him and the current champion Bobby Roode would be 'Glorious'. Morrison has the ability to make one of the most top-notch matches for the United States Championship. He did the same when he fought Rey Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship.

If John Morrison wins the United States Championship, he can be the trendiest champion in WWE history, as he certainly brings class and dignity to any Championship he has ever laid his hand upon.

#3 Morrison as the WWE Champion

John Morrison has been a former ECW World Champion. Other than that, he has never held any World Championships, be it in WWE or in Impact Wrestling. But a wrestler of his stature has merits for much more. John Morrison deserves to be the WWE Champion.

During his time with the WWE, though he has captured several titles, the WWE Championship was still a dream come true for him. He was given Championship pursuits for the WWE Championship, but he failed to crown himself one. The WWE Championship is certainly a championship where Morrison should be pictured.

John Morrison has several innovative moves in his resume and he can compete and win against any superstar in the current SmackDown roster. A clash between him and AJ Styles for the WWE championship would be 'phenomenal'. If he wins the WWE championship, it will be an outstanding reign for him.

In 2010, in this similar match for the WWE Championship contract, he competed but failed to register his victory. If Morrison comes back and wins this contest, he can utilize this championship match contract anytime for either of the WWE or the Universal Championship. This will create many rivalries as Morrison can choose his own competitor upon whom he can cash the contract.

#1 The new face of SmackDown Live

SmackDown is mostly regarded as the B-Show on WWE. A lot of collective efforts from the wrestlers as well as from management and also the creative team of WWE have failed to generate the much-needed boost to the ratings and viewership of the show. If any one person can alter the fate of this show, it is John Morrison.

John Morrison has the advantage of performing both as a heel and as a face. He has also featured in many TV Shows and in various movies as well. If he comes on SmackDown, his position as the number one superstar is almost unquestionable as people are getting monotonous, watching the same superstars and their customary plots. He can bring a lot of fresh content to the show, which will attract more viewership to the show.

Morrison can feud with the likes of Shinsuke Nakamura, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens and other superstars. This will open up many new narratives and developments for both WWE and also for John Morrison. His previous tenure in SmackDown has provided him with a lot of reputation for being a classy superstar. He can achieve much more in his career if he comes back to SmackDown, which at present Impact Wrestling is unable to provide him.
