Shane O'Mac has got the best back up!

The WWE Universe is on panic mode ever since the reports of Shane McMahon being the one to dethrone Kofi Kingston for the WWE title broke out.

The tweet has made the fans lose their minds over the possibility of Shane McMahon becoming the new WWE Champion. They are lashing out against the company for choosing Shane over the other deserving superstars on the roster.

But WWE could have a long-term plan behind their alleged decision to have Shane dethrone Kofi Kingston. With top heels like Kevin Owens and Dolph Ziggler on the roster, there should be a strong reason behind WWE going with Shane O’Mac.

With that in mind, let's look at five reasons why the Million Dollar Prince should become the new WWE Champion.

#5 Kofi's title reign is losing its aura

Kofi's Cinderella story might come to an end!

At WrestleMania 35, we witnessed a sight we never thought we would see. Kofi Kingston created history by becoming WWE's first African born WWE Champion.

The build-up towards his historic win is one of the best works the WWE creative team has done in years. Kofi overcame all the odds stacked against him to win his first WWE title after eleven years with the company.

Kingston has defended the title against the likes of AJ Styles, Seth Rollins & Kevin Owens since becoming champion at WrestleMania. He’s been having a strong run so far, but his time at the top might end sooner rather than later.

The theme behind Kofi's title pursuit is an underdog overcoming all odds to achieve his dream. WWE is using the same idea with Kofi's title defenses as an underdog champion doing everything he can to keep his title.

The theme has diminishing returns, and unless the creative team finds new ideas, we could see the sun setting on Kofi’s reign sooner than we thought.

#4 He's the perfect heel on SmackDown Live to dethrone Kofi

Who would do that to another man's father?

Some of you might disagree with this statement. But let's think about it for a moment. Kevin Owens will have some backstage heat after refusing to travel to Saudi Arabia, and they are using Dolph Ziggler only as a backup plan.

Drew McIntyre has aligned himself with Shane O'Mac, and WWE will use him only as a muscle for the best in the world to do his dirty work.

WWE might be keeping Daniel Bryan safe after his injury scare at WrestleMania, and Lars Sullivan is just in the initial stages of being built up as a monster by crushing jobbers.

They certainly can’t have Roman Reigns beat Kofi as the fans would turn on the Big Dog in a heartbeat. Which leaves them with no choice but to have Shane McMahon be the one dethrone Kofi Kingston for the title.

While the Wild Card rule is still in effect, the company wouldn't have a Raw Superstar become the No.1 contender for the WWE title. They did make Alexa Bliss a Raw superstar to challenge Bayley for the SmackDown Women's title. But it would look monotonous if they do the same with Kofi.

#3 To have him become the next Mr. McMahon

Vince McMahon is a former WWE Champion!

Ever since Shane turned heel at Fastlane, the allegations of WWE trying to make him into the next Vince McMahon has been on the rise. His booking over the past few months is proof the company is trying so hard to push Shane O'Mac as a top heel.

The fan reactions have also been favorable towards WWE's mission as Shane is receiving legitimate heel heat from the crowd, something the current superstars are unable to do.

Shane McMahon can make the same impact as his father as a heel authority figure, and he is already proving that through his actions in the past few weeks.

Vince McMahon is a former WWE Champion in his own right, and WWE can book Shane to follow his father's footsteps by dethroning Kofi Kingston to win his first WWE Championship.

#2 It's the only way Roman Reigns can win the title by Survivor Series

Shane is 1-0 against the Big Dog!

With SmackDown Live moving to FOX this October, the blue brand needed more star power to do justice to the big money deal. WWE could find no better choice but their resident "Big Dog" Roman Reigns.

They have also introduced the Wild Card rule to allow four superstars from each brand to appear on both shows. Vince McMahon is doing all he can put more emphasis on SmackDown Live before the show transitions to FOX.

If Shane becomes the champion, it’s sure Roman Reigns will pick a fight with him to set up a match between the two for the title down the line.

Shane just got one over Roman Reigns at Super ShowDown, and this feud is far from over. Reigns' upcoming match with Drew McIntyre at Stomping Grounds will play a significant role in this feud.

Its possible Reigns could win the WWE title before this year's Survivor Series. So Shane will be the right choice to be Champion when the "Big Dog" reclaims his yard.

But what could WWE be planning for Survivor Series? The answer is on the next page.

-#1 To unify the WWE & Universal titles at Survivor Series

We almost saw it happen at the Raw after WrestleMania

WWE’s second brand extension came into effect in 2016, and the company introduced the Universal Championship as the red brand’s top singles title.

The brand split is slowly losing its importance after the introduction of the Wild Card rule. But there could be a reason WWE is allowing this to happen.

With Raw & SmackDown to air on different networks from this October, WWE will look to have all their superstars appear on both shows.

WWE was already teasing the end of the brand split with Becky Lynch's double title win at WrestleMania, and Kofi Kingston challenging Seth Rollins for a title vs. title match on the next night on Raw.

If Roman Reigns wins the WWE Championship and Seth Rollins holds on to the Universal Championship, we could see them clash to unify the titles at Survivor Series.
