WWE Money in the Bank 2019: 5 Reasons why Vince McMahon won't let Becky Lynch lose her Raw Women's Championship at the PPV

WWE has confirmed that Becky Lynch will be defending her Raw and SmackDown Women's Championship at Money in the Bank against Lacey Evans and Charlotte Flair, respectively. It's being rumored that she could lose one of her titles at the show, probably the SmackDown one.

The Man is continuing to thrive as a champion, but she doesn't have the same momentum as before. Since beating Charlotte and Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 35, Lynch hasn’t done anything significant. However, it doesn’t matter to the WWE Universe who still cheers for The Irish Lasskicker.

This Monday Night Raw, Charlotte and Evans assaulted Lynch and powerbombed her through the table and then posed with her titles. While we know that Vince McMahon is heavily invested in her and could be planning to hand the Raw Women’s Title at Money in the Bank, here are five reasons why this may not happen.

#5 Strong backlash

More often than not, WWE does something that results in severe backlash from the fans. Let it be about making Brock Lesnar the Universal Champion or abruptly stopping a Superstar’s push.

However, the McMahon family has already promised the WWE Universe that they will listen to them and do what we want. Since Lynch is our favorite Superstar at the moment, it’s likely that Vince won’t let her lose the title. It’s been only a month since she won and the fans still like her.

Lynch’s loss will definitely enrage the fans, and WWE will surely want to avoid that. AEW, NJPW and other wrestling promotions are trying their best to serve what the audience wants, and if Vince goes against the fans, then it will only hurt him. So it would be better to let Lynch retain her title for a few more months before dropping it now.

#4 Becky Lynch is Raw’s cornerstone

The Man is the most over WWE Superstar on Raw

Remember when Brock Lesnar remained the Universal Champion despite the fans booing him? Yet, Vince McMahon didn't listen to us and did whatever he wanted to do. However, this isn't the case with Becky Lynch.

She is currently the most over Superstar in the company, and it's unlikely that Vince will keep her without a title. While Lynch already has two of them, it doesn't mean that she can't keep them for a few more months.

The Man is currently on WWE's B-Show SmackDown, but she is also the cornerstone of the red brand which makes it unlikely that Vince will let her lose at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view. And there is nothing wrong in doing this. Lynch was in the mid-card scene for many years, and now, she has finally gotten a chance to showcase her talent to the world.

#3 She will lose her SmackDown Women’s Championship instead

Will Lynch lose her SmackDown Women's Championship

Since Becky Lynch is a SmackDown Superstar, it’s likely that she will lose her SmackDown Women’s Title if WWE plans to do a title change. Charlotte has beat multiple WWE Superstars to become champion and Lynch is one of them.

After Lynch, The Queen is the biggest female Superstar in WWE, and Vince will likely want to hand her a title. She has been in the title scene for a while now, and since suffering a loss at WrestleMania, Charlotte’s momentum has plunged quickly. It could be one of the reasons why Vince could be planning to hand one of the women’s title to Charlotte at Money in the Bank.

And because is she is also a SmackDown Superstar, the chances are that she will either win the blue brand’s title or suffer another loss. At the moment, it seems like the former 3-time SmackDown’s Women’s Champion will add another title victory to her record, even if the fans like it or not.

#2 Lacey Evans is still new to the roster

Lacey Evans should gain some experience first before defeating The Man

The fans don’t want WWE to hand something (let it be a title or a massive victory) to a Superstar who has merely done anything to get that. Lacey Evans is one of those Superstars.

Vince McMahon seems to have a lot of faith in her capabilities, and it’s why fans think she will win her first main roster title at Money in the Bank. However, we should not forget that Lacey doesn’t have any experience on the main roster. She has just arrived on Raw, and it would be unfair to hand her a title (and a victory over Becky Lynch).

A better alternative would be to let her gain some experience first and prove why she deserves to be a champion. Maybe Vince also thinks the same, and if he does then most likely, Lynch won’t lose her Raw Women’s Championship.

#1 Money in the Bank cash-in factor

Alexa Bliss cashed in her briefcase last year

Last year, Nia Jax defended her Raw Women’s Championship against Ronda Rousey. Rousey won this match, but a title change didn’t occur. The same night, Money in the Bank winner Alexa Bliss cashed in her briefcase and became a 3-time Raw Women’s Champion. She then feuded with Ronda for the title where she eventually lost it.

Is there a chance that WWE will repeat the same scenario again? They could. Becky isn’t feuding with just one but two females: Charlotte and Lacey Evans. Both are heels, and it’s likely that either The Queen will interfere in Lacey’s match or the Lady of NXT will cause a disqualification.

If both of these things are not going to happen, then, WWE could repeat what happened last year at Rosemont, Illinois. The Women’s Money in the Bank winner could interfere in this match, make it a triple threat and then walk out as the new Raw Women’s Champion.

Which one of these scenarios would you be expecting to happen in Money in the Bank? Have your say in the comments below.
