Would Becky Lynch survive?

5 Reasons why WWE would let Becky win both her matches at MITB

The WWE Superstar Shake-Up is now over, and it is clear which Superstar belongs to which brand, except for Becky Lynch, as she is the double champion who represents both the brands. Becky is now scheduled to face two opponents for her two titles in separate matches.

Lacey Evans continued to attack Becky Lynch for weeks, and when Natalya confronted Lynch for a title shot, a match was made to determine the #1 contender for the RAW's women's title. Evans beat Natalya and earned the right to challenge for the championship.

Similarly, Charlotte and Bayley fought off to get a future shot at the SmackDown's women's title and eventually Charlotte won the match and earned a title shot.

In a backstage interview, Becky agreed to defend both her titles on the Money in the Bank PPV against Lacey Evans and Charlotte for the RAW and SmackDown's women's titles respectively.

Here are five reasons why Becky retains her title in both matches.

#5 Lacey Evans is not ready yet

Lacey Evans signed a contract with NXT 3 years ago but wasn't featured much on NXT TV. She came into limelight when she participated in the inaugural Mae Young Classics. Evans defeated Taynara Conti in the first round but lost the second round to Toni Storm. Her first feud on NXT started last year when she complained about Nikki Cross to NXT GM William Regal.

Evans made her debut on the main roster on the same year along with Heavy Machinery, EC3, Lars Sullivan and Nikki Cross. She walked on the ramp for most of her main roster stay. Becky Lynch is her first opponent on the RAW.

She is yet to prove herself in the ring and is not experienced enough to become the leader of RAW's women's division. It's her first feud, and she needs time to develop her skills before she becomes a champion.

#4 To protect Becky's "The Man" moniker

Becky Lynch walked around on SmackDown as self-professed "The Man", but she wasn't able to back it up as she lost her title to Asuka and failed to regain it in the rematch.

Finally, she won the Royal Rumble match and went on to defeat both women's champion at the same time at WrestleMania. She earned the right to be called "The Man" as she became the double champion and leader of the whole women's division across both brands.

It isn't a good idea to let Becky lose after she achieved the most significant moment in women's wrestling.

Her moniker would get devalued if she won't be able to defend her titles after such an achievement.

#3 Too many titles win for Charlotte

Charlotte earned her spot in the history books as one of the greatest female wrestlers after she won the women's title for the eighth time. Her previous title win didn't go too well with the WWE Universe after she defeated Asuka for the SmackDown's women's championship just a few weeks before WrestleMania.

Becky Lynch might be the biggest babyface on the entire WWE's roster currently. If Charlotte would be able to capture the women's title again, it might cause an outrage from the fans and might result in a social media backlash.

#2 It's her first title defence on a PPV after WrestleMania

The women's revolution was at its full swing, and WWE made the most significant match possible for the women's division to headline WrestleMania. Becky Lynch came out as the victor and held the women's title from both the brands.

Becky Lynch faces two opponents on the Money in the Bank PPV. If WWE decides to drop one of her titles on her first defence, it diminishes her whole journey. Hence, it's too early for Lynch to lose the title to any one of the two competitors.

#1 To allow a cash-in

A cash-in is probably the best and most exciting method to take a title off Becky Lynch. Becky is now the most protected Superstar after her historic wins, and she can't lose her championships to both of her opponents because of the reasons discussed earlier.

She would probably win both of her matches in spite of the fatigue storyline that would be running throughout the event. But a surprise cash-in would be the best way to catch her off guard.

Although the chances of the cash-in to occur on the MITB PPV is quite low, as Alexa Bliss cashed-in last year in a similar fashion.

It would be best for Becky Lynch is the cash-in would occur after the PPV. It might happen after a two on one beat down on the fallout episode of RAW or SmackDown depending on the winner. Otherwise, it might happen on the next PPV.
