Braun Strowman is no longer a part of the Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view

5 storylines for Braun Strowman now that he is out of the Universal title feud

This past Monday on RAW, Vince McMahon penalized Braun Strowman for damaging his Limo by removing him from the Universal Championship match at the Royal Rumble PPV. Later in the night, Finn Balor defeated John Cena, Drew McIntyre and Baron Corbin in a fatal-4 way match to emerge as the new challenger for the Universal title.

On the other side, Braun Strowman was taken out of the arena by some security guards and the Monster did not appear on RAW after that.

Various rumours suggest that the Monster amongst men is still not cleared to return to action and that was the reason why Vince McMahon took him out of that match.

However, Braun Strowman was not the favourite to walk out of Chase Field as the Universal Champion and so, the WWE Creative might be planning a new storyline for the former Wyatt Family member.

Here are the 5 possible directions for Braun Strowman now that he is no longer in the Universal Championship feud:

#1 - Form a tag team and join the RAW tag team division

I just hope WWE finds Braun a better partner than Nicholas

The RAW tag team championship is the only championship that Braun Strowman has won in the WWE and his first title reign lasted less than 24 hours as the duo of Strowman and Nicholas had to relinquish the tag titles due to the latter's school.

However, WWE can book Braun in a serious storyline involving the tag team titles now that the division is in shambles. Braun Strowman can join hands with Elias or maybe with his former master Bray Wyatt or an underdog like Zack Ryder to form a tag team and save the RAW tag team division.

#2 - Feud with Bobby Lashley for the Intercontinental Championship

Bobby Lashley vs Braun Strowman can solidify RAW's mid card

Bobby Lashley defeated Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins in a triple threat Intercontinental Championship match on the latest episode of RAW and won the IC title. This was Lashley's first title win in the WWE in many years and this was the first time that Bobby Lashley won the WWE Intercontinental Championship in his career.

Now that Lashley is a heel champion, the chances of him feuding with a heel Dean Ambrose are minimal. On the other side, Seth Rollins had mentioned in the pre-match interview that this was his last Intercontinental Championship opportunity and so, that means he is out of the IC title picture now.

So, the WWE Creative may look for another credible face superstar who can challenge Bobby Lashley for the Intercontinental Championship and that face could well be Braun Strowman. The two giants can have an epic rivalry which can possibly elevate the IC title to new heights.

#3 - Win the Royal Rumble match

What if this feud gets a part-3?

This is the least likely option on this list but the WWE may pursue this in order to build Braun Strowman as the biggest babyface superstar of the company. Now that Strowman has been penalized by Vince McMahon, the Monster can return in the 30-man Royal Rumble match at Chase Field and stun the WWE Universe by winning the match.

Braun Strowman holds the record of winning a 50-man Royal Rumble match and so the WWE Creative may book him to win another Royal Rumble match to build him as a babyface who defied odds to earn another opportunity. Remember, Braun Strowman had not lost clean to Brock Lesnar at Crown Jewel and so, he still stands a chance of dethroning the Beast.

Braun Strowman defying all odds and winning the WWE Universal Championship finally at WrestleMania 35 will be a great storyline if WWE books it properly.

#4 - Feud meaninglessly with Baron Corbin

Baron Corbin was the reason why Braun Strowman damaged Mr.McMahon's Limo on RAW

The former Acting General Manager of RAW, Baron Corbin is one of the most hated heels on the roster. He has been involved in a rivalry with Braun Strowman since the Crown Jewel PPV and they even clashed in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match last month which Braun won comprehensively.

Also, this week on RAW Braun Strowman damaged Mr McMahon's Limo while trying to attack the Lone Wolf and so, the WWE Creative can book a feud between Baron Corbin and Braun Strowman soon. I know, this will be yet another meaningless feud involving Corbin but at the moment it seems to be the right way to book both the superstars.

Braun Strowman's popularity which has reduced a bit in the last few weeks can increase once again if he is booked to battle Baron Corbin.

#5 - Move over to SmackDown Live

Will the WWE move Braun Strowman to Tuesday Nights?

Braun Strowman has been a part of Monday Night RAW since 2016 and has feuded with almost every single RAW superstar. So, WWE can freshen up his character by having him move over to the B show and engage in some never seen before rivalries.

WWE can book Strowman's move to SmackDown Live by having him damage Mr.McMahon's valuables once again and this time the angry boss will fire him from RAW saying he does not deserve to be on the 'A' show and send him to SD Live.

After moving to SmackDown, Braun Strowman can straight away feud with the new Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship or can battle in a hardcore rivalry with Randy Orton. The possibilities are many, it's just on WWE Creative, how they book the Monster ahead.
