5 Surprises for WWE RAW after AEW Double or Nothing: Big return, New Champ crowned?

It just seems like WWE, the industry leader for almost two decades now, is finally on the back foot once again after Double or Nothing. Sure, it was a standalone show but the amount of goodwill it generated was quite incredible indeed.

WWE has seen television viewership decline in weeks past and really needs to step up its game to be in the contention again. In this article, I will suggest 5 ways it could potentially make RAW much more interesting.

As always, I invite you guys to leave a comment and let me know what you think WWE should do to make the product exciting for fans again. As always, I encourage you to be as creative as possible because this is all just fantasy booking.

Who knows...maybe your suggestions could be more unconventional than those of the WWE Creative team.

So, the main grouse that a lot of fans have with WWE right now is the fact that Brock Lesnar is Mr. Money in the Bank at this point. A lot of them felt that a younger and hungrier competitor would have been far better for the role. There's a very easy way to settle this issue.

If Brock Lesnar does show up on RAW, then he could go up against someone like Drew McIntyre in a match for the ownership of the Money in the Bank contract in an impromptu match. McIntyre would be a far better candidate as Mr. Money in the Bank from the perspective of fans.

Also, fans would not be opposed to him holding the contract as he is a full-timer. The only question is if Mr. Lesnar will agree to wrestle on RAW or not.

#4 Putting the Tag Team titles around the waists of The Revival

So, on the one hand, you have The Young Bucks and The Lucha Brothers tear it up and on the other, you see The Revival sitting on the sidelines and participating in silly comedy segments. Is it any wonder then that they sent out Tweets during the show regarding how much they liked AEW? I wonder how many acts in the back are waiting for their contracts to expire so that they can move elsewhere.

How do you keep your talent happy? It is pretty much the same way that you keep the fans happy too, I think. Basically, you put your titles around the waists of the best act in the division.

If The Revival become Champions again, they can have great matches with just about anyone in the entire roster. Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins are great, but they don't have the oomph of The Revival.

#3 Goldberg returns to promote his match

AEW's Double or Nothing went off the air with Jon Moxley arriving through the crowd and attacking both Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho, also taking out the referee with a Dirty Deeds. The world has been buzzing about the appearance ever since, and WWE needs to create a similar impression.

What they can potentially do is have Goldberg show up to promote his match. He's scheduled to take on The Undertaker at Super ShowDown and his return can be big news for WWE.

Whatever people may think about Goldberg, it is impossible to dispute that fans, young and old mark out for his larger than life persona. If Goldberg does step out during a match, breathing smoke and fire, closing in with vengeance, then the viewers could certainly be thrilled.

By taking out a few guys in the roster, he could send out a message to The Undertaker before Saudi Arabia.

#2 Ricochet becomes the United States Champion

We know that Rey Mysterio may have suffered an injury following his match against Samoa Joe at WWE Money in the Bank. We also know that Samoa Joe may be injured as his nose seemed broken during the contest. It was announced that this week on RAW, the state of the United States Championship would be addressed.

I hope that there is a ladder match to crown a new Champion that makes the division exciting again. And I sincerely hope that it is someone like Ricochet who goes on to win the title and bring prestige back to the title. The crowd is behind him and he could actually benefit from being given a push.

Someone like Samoa Joe could also potentially work with him if he is at 100%. With Joe's mind games and Ricochet's skills, this could be quite a feud.

#1 Bray Wyatt debuts his new persona

According to a significant portion of the WWE Universe, Bray Wyatt is the best thing about Monday Night RAW right now. His vignettes are always exciting, captivating, and do not have that trademark PG touch that WWE has become infamous for, over the last few weeks.

What if Universal Champion Seth Rollins has a match this week and he makes short work of his opponent, whoever that individual may be. As he is about to head into the backstage area, the lights go out and Bray Wyatt appears to attack the Universal Champion.

It would be the best thing for Seth Rollins to do right now after his fantastic program with AJ Styles. Moreover, it would be the best way to relaunch Bray Wyatt...right into the title picture once again.

Imagine the kind of pop that such a move would potentially receive from the WWE Universe in attendance.
