5 Surprises that could take Monday Night Raw by storm this week (22 April 2019)

Last week's Superstar Shake-up ended with a lot of superstars switching brands. Some of the top stars that moved to Raw included AJ Styles, The Miz, Rey Mysterio, Naomi and The Usos, among others. There were even some mid-card stars that made the switch, such as Andrade and Eric Young.

The War Raiders debuted on Raw during last week's Superstar Shake-Up with a new name - The Viking Experience. They teamed up with The Revival to defeat Zack Ryder, Curt Hawkins, Aleister Black, and Ricochet.

The biggest thing to note here is that The Viking Experience pinned one-half of the Raw Tag Team Champions Zack Ryder, which opens up an opportunity for the new team. Ryder and Hawkins have already received their big moment at WrestleMania 35.

So, they don't need to keep the titles for a longer. Instead, WWE should award the titles to the new arrivals. There are rumors that Vince McMahon has high plans for the new team and could give them a Raw Tag Team Title opportunity against Ryder and Hawkins.

This rumor could come true on this week's Raw as The Viking Experience could become the new Raw Tag Team Champions by defeating Ryder and Hawkins which will surprise a lot of fans watching the show.

#4 United States Champion Samoa Joe returns to Raw to feud with Braun Strowman

Samoa Joe could begin a feud with Braun Strowman for United States Title.

United States Champion Samoa Joe missed last week's Superstar Shake-Up due to being sick, so WWE kept him entirely off both shows. Meanwhile, Intercontinental Champion Finn Balor arrived on SmackDown Live as part of the Shake-Up.

Now, since Balor is moved to the blue brand with one of the secondary titles on the main roster, then Joe will surely be heading to Raw with the other secondary title. There are rumors that Joe would be drafted to Raw and will begin a feud with Braun Strowman for the United States Title.

#3 Lacey Evans defeats Becky Lynch to win the Raw Women's Title

Lacey Evans has recently begun a feud with the dual Women's Champion Becky Lynch, by attacking her multiple times for the past few weeks. Last week on Raw, Evans defeated Natalya to earn an opportunity to face Lynch for the Raw Women's Championship.

It's not clear when this match will take place, but it could possibly take place on this week's Raw. Evans could potentially beat Lynch and become the new Raw Women's Champion. After all, WWE wants to push her, so don't be surprised if she wins her first title so soon.

#2 Andrade, Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara form a stable

A Mexican stable could be formed on Raw.

Last week's Superstar Shake-Up brought both Andrade and Rey Mysterio on Raw. While Andrade got a huge win over Intercontinental Champion Finn Balor, whereas Mysterio was brutalized by Lars Sullivan. Both could be on verge of huge pushes on WWE's top brand.

There are rumors that WWE could be forming a babyface stable between Andrade, Rey Mysterio, and Sin Cara since all three are Mexican stars. Also, with The Shield possibly folding after Dean Ambrose leaves, WWE could be pushing the trio as the next big group.

#1 AJ Styles steps up to challenge Universal Champion Seth Rollins

AJ Styles could be Universal Champion Seth Rollins first challenger.

Since defeating Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title at WrestleMania 35, Seth Rollins is without a new challenger. There are rumors that he will be feuding with Drew McIntyre going forward. But what if we get a dream feud between AJ Styles and Rollins instead?

Now, Styles has been drafted to Raw, so WWE could begin his push back to the main event scene by putting him in a match with Rollins for the Universal Title. This would not only be something different for the fans but, it also would totally surprise them with this decision.
