Becky Lynch, Shayna Baszler, and Drew McIntyre will all be in action at WrestleMania 36

5 things that must happen at WrestleMania 36

WrestleMania 36 hasn't quite gone as planned for WWE, but they are still trying to salvage something out of this tough situation and put on a great show for their fans. The WWE Universe have several excellent matches to look out for at The Show of Shows, while a few feuds have also been teased.

#5 Bayley vs Sasha Banks feud begins

The SmackDown Women's Championship is one of eight titles that will be on the line at WrestleMania 36 on April 4 and April 5. Bayley, who won the title back in October after defeating Charlotte Flair, has been a breath of fresh air as a heel.

She will be defending her title against four women - Lacey Evans, Naomi, Tamina, and her best friend Bayley, in a fatal five-way elimination match. Bayley and Banks weren't happy at WWE adding Banks to the match, and this could be a great way to set up a feud betwen Bayley and Banks.

The duo haven't had a singles feud on the main roster, but did feud with each other when they were in NXT. Fans have been waiting for them to face each other for a long time, and WWE must pull the trigger to have one of them betray the other and set-up a feud. The SmackDown women's roster is bereft of top quality contenders for Bayley's title and a feud between Banks and Bayley is the only blockbuster feud on the blue brand.

#4 Rhea Ripley retains the NXT Women's Championship

WWE pulled off a massive swerve by putting Charlotte Flair in a match with NXT Women's Champion Rhea Ripley. Flair, who won the women's Royal Rumble match earlier this year, did not choose RAW Women's Champion Becky Lynch, or SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley - which was a relief for WWE fans as we've seen The Queen feud with the two in the past, quite a few times.

Ripley has the potential and ability to one day main event WrestleMania, and possibly even challenge Charlotte's crown of being the most successful female Superstar in WWE. And that's one reason why WWE should not put Ripley in a position where she looks out of depth against Flair at WrestleMania 36.

I don't think that WWE plans to move Flair to NXT anytime soon, which is why the title should remain around the waist of Ripley. Also, a win against Flair could massively help Ripley's stock in WWE and accelerate her move to RAW or SmackDown. Ripley belongs at the top and a win at WrestleMania is the only logical decision. Charlotte won't have anything to lose if the match doesn't end in her favour.

#3 Title changes

As aforementioned, eight titles will be on the line at WrestleMania 36, which includes both top men's and women's titles, as well as both men's tag team titles and the Intercontinental title. Fans will expect a few title changes at The Show of Shows, some of which could be unexpected.

At Royal Rumble this year, one of the big four PPVs in WWE's calendar, there were no title changes, which was a surprise. But, that can't be the case at WrestleMania.

The WWE Universe wants to see Brock Lesnar's title reign end at the hands of Drew McIntyre, even if it means that the Scottish Psychopath will not get a monstrous crowd reaction, like he did get when he first eliminated Lesnar and then won the men's Royal Rumble match.

I have mixed feelings about Becky Lynch losing her title, as she still has the crowd right behind her; but if WWE want to push Shayna Baszler, she has to win the title at WrestleMania. But, someone like Sami Zayn should retain the Intercontinental title when he faces off against Daniel Bryan. Zayn has been fantastic as a heel in his recent run and this could be a career-changing run, while Bryan doesn't need a title at the moment.

#2 Innovative usage of arena

WWE Performance Center

WWE will be hosting WrestleMania 36 at the Performance Center and other venues, and with no crowd involvement, WWE will have to use the arena in innovative ways, to give fans a unique experience. That not only means fighting in the empty seats, backstage, and everywhere else, but also using never-before-seen spots to give fans a WrestleMania moment to remember.

Last year's show had an incredible moment where Shane McMahon and The Miz fell from the camera stage.

We know that one match, the Boneyard match between The Undertaker and AJ Styles, will not be restricted to the ring, although WWE have kept their cards close to their chest regarding this match. John Cena and The Fiend will face each other in a Firefly Funhouse match, which we also don't know much about.

Fans would like to see different camera angles used to give fans a different perspective, various ways to use the potential weapons in and around the ring, as well as the backstage area, unlike before.

#1 Drew McIntyre wins the WWE Championship

I mentioned how the match between Drew McIntyre and Brock Lesnar should end with the Scotsman walking away with the WWE Championship. And, I, like millions of fans around the world, want this to happen as this is the right time for McIntyre to win the title.

The Scottish Psychopath has got a lot of momentum, which began just a little while before Royal Rumble, and he then cemented it with his incredible performance in the Rumble match. Lesnar has played his part to perfection in this feud, which has made McIntyre look like a million bucks.

While there are a few who believe that McIntyre should win in front of a packed and hot crowd, like at Royal Rumble, we don't quite know when that could happen, considering the ever-changing situation with the pandemic. Even without a crowd, there's no bigger place than WrestleMania, and waiting for this to happen in the future could result in his momentum slumping. There's no Superstar bigger than Lesnar and getting a win over him, even in an empty arena will be a phenomenal achievement for McIntyre.
