How will the landscape of WWE change if McIntyre wins?

5 Things that will change if Drew McIntyre becomes the WWE Champion at WrestleMania 36

Thus far, the only match confirmed for WrestleMania 36 is the clash between The Beast Incarnate, who just happens to be the reigning, defending, and undisputed WWE Champion as his advocate keeps reminding us and the Scottish Psychopath, Drew McIntyre.

The WWE Championship, that Brock Lesnar won from Kofi Kingston on the inaugural episode of SmackDown on FOX will be on the line. In most cases, as it the case with Ricochet before him, Brock Lesnar would be the odds on favorite to reign supreme.

But then again, the match with Drew McIntyre could go either way, because of the way the man has been packaged and presented over the course of the past year. And if he does end up becoming the WWE Champion, a lot of things could change at once.

Here's just a glimpse of all the changes we could potentially see.

#5 The Champion shows up every week on RAW

Brock Lesnar only shows up on select occasions, and in the eyes of many, that has hurt the overall WWE product because the biggest star and the most prized championship aren't on TV every week. Some others feel like it creates a certain aura around Brock Lesnar, and that's why he's such a draw. In any case, if Drew McIntyre does become the WWE Champion, he's going to be a part of the show every week.

This is not a bad thing at all, if Drew McIntyre becomes the biggest star on the red brand, as he was destined to be when he was christened 'The Chosen One' many years ago. Only this time, he is ready for the spotlight and ready to be the central figure of RAW.

Brock Lesnar will, like always, remain a part-time attraction only.

#4 Brock Lesnar in non-title feuds

Many people felt that it should have been Bobby Lashley and not Ricochet against Brock Lesnar in Saudi Arabia. This is a match that has been discussed for years and years because of the MMA backgrounds of both Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley, and you can check out what Kurt Angle has to say about the same in the interview clip linked above.

Like Brock Lesnar vs. Bobby Lashley, some feuds just don't need a title on the line to make them relevant, in my opinion. Brock Lesnar is such a big-name draw, who's been presented as a top star right from the time that he made his debut that almost anything that he's a part of will be a big deal.

And therefore, I wouldn't be surprised if he goes on to have matches against the likes of Tyson Fury and Cain Velasquez without the WWE Championship on the line. One may go so far as to say that the WWE product does not need a part-time WWE Champion anymore.

#3 A chance to elevate the mid-card heels

Sportskeeda's own Gary Cassidy has been doing a whole bunch of interviews that you can catch on our Youtube Channel just by subscribing to the same. In this interview, you can check out what The Celtic Warrior has to say about, among others, Drew McIntyre.

Depending on which brand Sheamus ends up on after the upcoming Superstar Shake-Up, superstars like him will have a chance to tussle it out against Drew McIntyre, who will offer a lot more opportunities. And this is because, I'm assuming that with him as Champion, the WWE Championship will be defended not only on pay-per-view but also on RAW or SmackDown (depending on where he ends up).

I do suppose that it is a very conscious decision to not have Brock Lesnar wrestle on RAW, to have him showcased as a special attraction. The same is the case with The Fiend as well, who only wrestles in big pay-per-view events.

Do you think it's a good or bad thing for the WWE Championship to also be defended on TV?

#2 Far more competitive matches for the WWE Championship

If you have some time, be sure to catch Sportskeeda's own Gary Cassidy in conversation with Grado who speaks about, among other things, Drew McIntyre. Drew McIntyre is someone that everyone around the world seems to like, and it is not much of a surprise that his transition from heel to babyface happened so very naturally. And yet, he's carried over some of the ruggedness from his heel stint into his current babyface run.

Coming back to the topic, even though every Brock Lesnar match is very entertaining, they all seem to follow a certain formula to me. Brock Lesnar gets the initial shots in before the competitor retaliates, and then Brock Lesnar picks up the win. But things will be very different when Drew McIntyre is the Champion because I am certain that he will actually wrestle very competitive matches on RAW and on pay-per-view.

Imagine the kind of match he'll be able to put together against the likes of WWE Superstars such as Ricochet or even AJ Styles.

#1 Seth Rollins will no longer be in the Tag Team Championship picture

As I write this, Seth Rollins is a part of the Tag Team Championships picture with Murphy, who lost a part of his name recently. However, if Drew McIntyre was to win the WWE Championship, I have a very strong feeling that Seth Rollins would be one of the first in line, if not the very first challenger for the WWE Championship.

I would imagine that the only reason why Seth Rollins is not in the title picture as of now is that there's no place for him in the same. Brock Lesnar has his own thing going on with Ricochet right now, and he is going to be feuding with Drew McIntyre, both of whom are babyfaces while Seth Rollins is a heel.

Drew McIntyre vs. Seth Rollins is the money match and it would be tough to keep the two men apart unless Seth Rollins was transferred to SmackDown. It wouldn't make too much sense to do that since Rollins is, pretty much, the biggest full-time star on RAW.

I'm certain that Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre will lock horns at SummerSlam, if not much prior.
