Bray Wyatt Returns on WWE Raw

5 things you did not see on TV from WWE Raw; graphic injury, Wyatt's entrance, Orton botch, more

Tonight's episode of WWE Raw emanated live from The Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, NY, and I was in attendance for the event.

The show, which appeared to be well-received by the fans in New York, featured the return of Bray Wyatt, a ten-man battle royal main event, a lengthy fatal four way women's match, and more.

Prior to WWE Raw going on the air, two matches were taped for this week's main event. They included Sarah Logan vs Dana Brooke in a singles match, and EC3 and Eric Young vs Titus O'Neil and No Way Jose. In the first match, Dana Brooke picked up the win, and in the second match, EC3 and Eric Young earned the tag team victory.

During the course of the show, several moments took place off the air, and the following report details some of the action which took place only for the live crowd during commercial breaks. Below are 5 things you did not see on TV from tonight's episode of WWE Raw from Long Island, New York's Nassau Coliseum.

#5 A graphic injury

Tonight's WWE Raw featured an intense squash match pitting The Viking Raiders against two local enhancement talents, billed as Vinny Grunner and Jackson James. During the bout, one of the local talents suffered a very graphic injury to his shoulder.

It was hard to tell when the injury took place exactly, however it appeared as if one of the talents, who was not the paler and thinner of the two men, badly dislocated his shoulder. When the match was over, the talent was helped out of the ring by two trainers, and his one arm was visibly hanging lower than the other, and his entire shoulder appeared to have been popped out of the socket.

The trainers helped the talent to the back while The Raiders celebrated their quick victory in the ring. As of this writing, no announcement has been made regarding the condition of the injured talent.

#4 Bray Wyatt's entrance

Arguably the hottest segment from tonight's WWE Raw featured the long-awaited return of Bray Wyatt.

For weeks, WWE has been teasing Wyatt's return after running Firefly Fun House segments and "Easter egging" Wyatt's Fun House puppets throughout episodes of both Raw and Smackdown Live.

Tonight on WWE Raw, when Finn Balor was left in the ring following his quick loss to Samoa Joe, the lights went out in the arena, and when they came back on, Wyatt was in position in the middle of the ring poised to deliver Sister Abigail to Finn Balor.

What the TV audience did not see was Bray Wyatt entering the ring moments before the lights came back on, and he unloaded a flurry of offense on Finn Balor. He hit Balor with several punches followed by a modified Rock Bottom before setting up Balor in position for Sister Abigail. The darkness combined with the light from fan cellphones created an amazing shadow effect before the mystery attacker was revealed to be Wyatt.

#3 Titus O'Neil and Dana Brooke cut off the air promos

Both Dana Brooke and Titus O'Neil competed in matches which will air on this week's episode of WWE Main Event, and they also made off-air appearances on WWE Raw tonight.

Titus O'Neil was up first, as he came out during a commercial break and plugged his upcoming new book. O'Neil said the book chronicles his life, struggles as a youth and his later success in WWE. O'Neil then encouraged the fans in Long Island to continue helping out in their various communities in order to make the world a better place day by day.

The second off-air promo was a bit odd, however, as Dana Brooke came out and hosted a Flex Cam segment. Brooke encouraged members of the audience to flex their muscles so the camera could show them on the big screen, and she would then comment on each flex while flexing along with the crowd. The segment ended rather abruptly when Brooke just said goodbye and left the entrance ramp area.

#2 What do talents do when they can't wrestle during commercial breaks?

AJ Styles

Several weeks ago in WWE Vince McMahon reportedly issued a mandate that no in-ring wrestling can take place during commercial breaks, hence the booking of so many 2/3 Falls bouts and gimmick matches in recent weeks.

During tonight's episode of WWE Raw, AJ Styles, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson competed in a six man tag team match against Lucha House Party, and the bout was interrupted by an attacking Ricochet.

During one commercial break, the action stopped so The Club could "regroup" following Ricochet's attack, and AJ Styles grabbed a mic and cut a brief promo. Styles told the live crowd in Long Island to shut up, before condemning the actions of Ricochet interfering in his match.

After Styles cut the promo, he and The Club got back into the ring and the match continued, likely when the show returned from commercial break.

#1 Randy Orton had a hilariously epic botch

Tonight's WWE Raw main event featured Seth Rollins defeating nine other WWE stars in a battle royal to become the new #1 contender to Brock Lesnar's WWE Universal Title. Rollins will face Lesnar at WWE SummerSlam next month for a shot at regaining The Kingslayer's lost Championship.

Randy Orton was one of the competitor's in the main event tonight, however, after the match was over, he failed to exit the ringside area before the Seth Rollins and Brock Lesnar exchange took place, so Orton had no choice but to lay on the ground throughout the entire segment.

A referee came down at one point to check on Orton to see if he was okay, and Orton explained that he was fine, but that he didn't want to exit, thereby interrupting the segment in the ring. He then joked with a few fans at ringside the he was going to throw his removed wrist tape at Seth Rollins during Rollins' promo to Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar.

After WWE Raw went off the air tonight, there was no dark match main event.
