5 Twists to Expect on the SmackDown Live after Hell In A Cell

Hell in a Cell had more SmackDown matches than RAW. It may even be fair to say that it was the SmackDown matches that stole the show. This week, we deal with the fallout of what happened at the event. And we may be in for a surprise or two, this week.

WWE knows that more people will be watching than usual, because the episode airs two days after Hell in a Cell. And they will want to put their best foot forward to ensure a good show. What's a good show without an interesting surprise or two?

In this article, I shall put before you five surprises that could take place on SmackDown Live, this week. Mind you, I'm in the dark too, so I'm just basically having fun.

None of these surprises may happen or all of them could potentially take place too!

#5 Randy Orton goes after Rusev

Could we see Orton commit acts of brutality on Rusev this week?

Can you believe that Randy Orton was a babyface, not long ago? Right now, he may just be the most despicable heel on television. Orton inserted a screwdriver into Hardy's ear during their match at Hell in a Cell and twisted it around in a move that sent shock waves across the world.

So, now that Orton has put away the most beloved babyface on SmackDown Live, whom does he target next? It would make for him to target the man who's been setting SmackDown Live on fire with his very own day. Also a man who has a shot at the United States title, this week.

Orton vs. Rusev may be a more interesting feud this time around, with the roles reversed. Orton comes in as the heel, a role he excels in, while Rusev is the babyface, this time.

#4 Almas scores a massive upset

Could we maybe see a brand new top guy emerge, this week?

Vince McMahon is apparently very high on Andrade 'Cien' Almas. He believes that Almas should be a top tier superstar. Some rumours have emerged that McMahon may want Almas to even win the Royal Rumble match. If so, it's not beyond the realm of possibility to imagine him going over AJ Styles this week, because both are scheduled to face one another.

This is because AJ Styles need not lose clean. Zelina Vega could cause a distraction during the course of the event and so can Samoa Joe. But a win over the current WWE Champion would do wonders for an up and coming superstar like Andrade 'Cien' Almas, over the long haul.

Could we see him possibly becoming the WWE Champion in the future? To be honest, I do not see why not.

I know that WWE has wanted a Latin American star and Almas could be just what they have been looking for.

#3 Rusev Day breaks up

Could Aiden English cost Rusev once again?

The splinters have been showing for a while now. We know that Rusev will be facing Shinsuke Nakamura for the US Title this week. Could Aiden English unknowingly cost him the title, leading to The Bulgarian Brute losing his cool? He could then take his ire out on his former best friend.

Following this, Rusev could become the Bulgarian Brute once again. And it just may be what he needs to become a serious contender yet again.

#2 Jeff Hardy becomes Brother Nero

This may breathe new life into Jeff Hardy

Jeff Hardy can be a strange cat even when he's not doing his 'woken' gimmick. But I have a feeling that because he went to hell and back, we may see a transformation in his character. In other words, he could fade away and classify himself as obsolete.

Yes, Jeff Hardy could return as 'Brother Nero', the character from the 'Woken' gimmick. Remember how Matt Hardy 'broke' when he had a similar traumatic incident in Impact? It will be interesting to see this character take on Randy Orton.

Yes, there are rumours that Hardy may take time off. But the angle is so hot, Hardy may want to have one last run.

#1 Bray Wyatt shows up on SmackDown Live

Could we see Wyatt become a Bludgeon Brother?

I have a feeling that the talents of Bray Wyatt will be better served on SmackDown Live than RAW. I could totally imagine him coming to Hardy's aid against Randy Orton. Orton and Wyatt have some unfinished business. I can also imagine him coming to help Luke Harper out.

RAW already has a pretty stacked division right now. On the other hand, SmackDown Live could do with some stars. Wyatt may be just what the brand needs at this point.

What do you think of these twists, folks? Leave a comment and let me know.

See you for the 'Best and Worst' of SmackDown Live tonight!
