During the show, WWE Champion Kofi Kingston, alongside Xavier Woods and honorary New Day member Kevin Owens, took on Shinsuke Nakamura, who was accompanied by Rusev and Lana.

A huge match to be sure, but once the dust was settled, everyone was talking about the Prizefighter.

Attacking both Woods and Kingston, Owens turned on the duo, and showed that his goal is the WWE Championship.

A return to form for Owens, who has spent the past couple of months as a babyface, fans are ecstatic about a feud between the two, with Owens hoping to claim one of the few prizes he has yet to hold in his short career in the WWE.

#5: Beat him clean

Owens beat John Cena in his main roster debut at Elimination Chamber 2015.

We all know that Kofi Kingston is an excellent athlete.

We all know that Kevin Owens is an excellent athlete.

So a match between the pair would be nothing short of epic.

After last night's assault, Kingston will rightly be ticked-off at Owens, and like many babyfaces, could even put his WWE Championship on the line just to get to the Prizefighter.

And even though Owens has had a tendency to stretch the rules in the past, fans know, Kingston knows and most importantly, Owens knows that he is more than capable of winning a match clean.

Beating Kingston in the middle of the ring, by either pinfall or submission, would be a huge win for the Canadian Superstar, who hasn't held gold in WWE since 2017.

#4: Beat him dirty

Owens has always bent the rules to get the win, even when he feuded with former friend Chris Jericho.

We may all know that Kevin Owens is more than capable of winning a match clean, but honestly, why take those chances?

From his past actions, Owens has never been above using every cheat in the book to get the advantage, from holding the tights to a cheeky low-blow.

Look at how Owens won the Universal Championship on WWE RAW in 2016, as Triple H attacked Seth Rollins with the referee down, something the Prizefighter was more than happy taking advantage of.

Owens has always said he wants to win title's because being a champion means more money for himself and his family.

Regardless of what you may think of the Canadian's dirty tactics, a win is a win, and capturing the prestigious WWE Championship would certainly add some zeroes to his paycheck.

#3: Suck up to the Boss

Owens captured the Universal Championship on RAW in 2016, thanks to a big assist by WWE COO Triple H.

Before becoming WWE Champion at WrestleMania 35, Kofi Kingston had to go through plenty of obstacles.

Perhaps the biggest hurdle of all, was Vince McMahon, who despite heaping praise on the Ghanaian Superstar, simply didn't see Kingston as World Champion material.

One Superstar who has proven himself as capable of being a top champion and face of the brand is Kevin Owens.

We all know that the Prizefighter will do anything to become champion and we all know just how controlling the Boss can be over the prestigious title, so it's not that far-fetched to believe these two would be on the same page.

If Owens did side with McMahon, then it'd make for a dangerous combination, as Kofi Kingston's days as WWE Champion may indeed be numbered.

#2: Get a New Day member to turn heel

Could Owens convince Woods or Big E to turn heel?

The New Day is one of WWE's most beloved teams, and part of the reason for that is because of the sense of comradeship between the trio.

Debuting in 2014, the team of Kingston, Woods and Big E have remained loyal to each other in all roles, including as babyfaces, heels, and as the hosts of WrestleMania 33.

What act could be more evil therefore, than Owens convincing either Woods or Big E to turn on the group, and align themselves with him?

Despite carrying himself as a lone-wolf, Owens has done wonders as part of a team, most notably having a lengthy reign as Universal Champion whilst working alongside Chris Jericho.

Convincing the breakup of the New Day would be a truly horrific act, and one that Owens could greatly benefit from.

#1: Money in the Bank

Owens has appeared in the iconic Ladder match three times.

The Money in the Bank pay per view is coming up shortly, and so far, no names have been announced for either ladder match.

A staple of the WWE and one of its most popular matches, the Money in the Bank ladder match has allowed plenty of stars to be thrust into the World Championship picture, including Edge, CM Punk and Dean Ambrose.

Owens himself is no stranger to the match, competing in the barbaric bout on three occasions, though is yet to win.

Although the Canadian's attack implies that he will face Kingston at the pay per view, should he come up short, being a last-minute addition would be just as good.

It'd show just how much Owens wants to be the WWE Champion, and is willing ti risk his body and health to do so.
