#6 Nia Jax status for Hell in a Cell

Ad
Nia Jax might not be appearing at Hell in a Cell.
Ad

Nia Jax hasn't been seen in a WWE ring since suffering a knee injury from July and according to Cageside seats.com has been seen in Orlando getting physical therapy at The Orlando Performance centre, its unknown whether Nia Jax will be at Hell in a Cell or not. Of course, WWE hasn't scheduled anything for her at the pay per view either, which means that if she does return, it will most likely be in an ambush role.

Then again, the rumour says she was receiving physical therapy, which could mean that WWE is going to take it slow with bringing Nia Jax back into the fold. Unfortunately for Nia Jax, that would mean more time on the shelf before returning to the main roster, which could really be a momentum killer for her.

In the end, that's a very interesting possibility, especially since it means Nia Jax could be planning to interfere in The Rousey versus Alexa Bliss match, but WWE might not want to do that due to how injury prone Jax has proven to be. In fact, with no legitimate claim to The Women's title right now and injury proneness, it feels like she won't be back in the title picture for a while.

#5 Rey Mysterio Return

Will Rey Mysterio return at Hell in a Cell?
Ad

The WWE Universe is still clamouring for another appearance from Rey Mysterio and while some are hoping there will be one at the upcoming Hell In Cell pay per view, it seems like that's not exactly the plan. In fact, according to Mysterio, he will continue to take outside dates until WWE decides on a date for his return to the company.

According to Mysterio, who discussed the topic on The Jim Ross Report podcast said "We started off with an anonymous call in January [about] coming back for the [Royal] Rumble, which was a big surprise to the fans because every time I go to a signing they say, 'damn, Rey, I did not expect to see you there,' so I guess that started off the whole conversation about possibly making a return.

"We're still in the mix of it. Mysterio continued on, " We've been going back and forth, talking about possibly returning this month and then this month, so the longer it extends, the more I get work outside. That's my bread and butter. That's what I do for a living. I'm just waiting for them to say, 'now'." Mysterio explained, "when they say, 'now,' if the time is right, let's go!"

#4 Asuka heel turn

Doesn't look like WWE is going to pull the trigger on The Asuka heel turn.
Ad

A rumor circulating last month about Asuka turning heel in order to renew fan's interest in her character, but it hasn't happened yet and it seems like it's not going to now. In fact, Bryan Alverez from The Wrestling Observer claims that the move is less likely after Becky Lynch turned heel at Summerslam.

With that being said and how sparingly WWE has been using Asuka over the last couple of months, it seems like that trend will continue and she won't be getting a spot at the Hell in a Cell pay per view. Furthermore, it looks like she is going to become more and irrelevant as time goes on and eventually lose any traction that a heel turn would have given her.

#3 Seth Rollins status for Hell in a Cell

Good news for fans hoping to see Seth Rollins at Hell in a Cell!
Ad

Seth Rollins got thrown into a police van window last week on Raw and while he was able to finish the segment and even came down for the main event that night, fans started to worry that he suffered an elbow injury after the initial attack. Fortunately for The WWE Universe, however, it appears that he is good to go for Hell in a Cell.

Unfortunately for Seth Rollins fans, it's not known whether WWE will put Rollins in a match so soon after the injury, which could leave him being used sparingly at Hell in a Cell. Interestingly enough though, WWE apparently still confirmed him for events over the weekend, which is an indicator that he is good to go moving forward!

According to Wrestlinginc.com, Seth Rollins has been confirmed for weekend WWE live events in Alabama and Texas. There had been some speculation on Rollins being pulled from the ring due to a potential arm injury suffered on Monday's RAW when he was thrown into the side of the police van. It looks like the injury wasn't that bad as he is still scheduled for this weekend.

#2 Finn Balor joining The Shield

Should Finn Balor join The Shield and fight off The Opposition at Hell in a Cell?
Ad

While anyone joining The Shield seems a little bit like fantasy booking, someone has to help The Hounds of justice now that they are the target of the heel locker room. Interestingly enough, a fan drew a picture of a Finn Balor becoming an honorary member of The Shield and Balor tweeted with a question mark accompanying it.

Again, it might sound absolutely crazy under ordinary circumstances, but after the complete ambush at the hands of Kevin Owens and s cohorts, The Shield almost need allies at this point to help them even the odds. Of course, the move would also help Balor after months of bad booking, which would also be a great thing for WWE.

With that being said and the chaotic nature of WWE's booking heading into The Hell in a Cell pay per view, it makes sense that WWE would at least put Balor in there to help even the odds with the Shield. Maybe WWE could even use Rhoode and Gable to help The Hounds of Justice, which would be great for everyone involved.

In the end, it's just a picture and retweet. It was probably meant to make a fans day and showcase the art of The WWE Universe, but it seems like the possibility is bigger than ever. In fact, with the chance to put together a dream team on the line, wouldn't WWE be stupid not to capitalize on the opportunity?

#1 Bruan Strowman heel turn

Will Bruan Strowman walk out of Hell in a Cell as Universal champion?
Ad

Bruan Strowman turning heel in Toronto was a bizarre way to end Monday night Raw, but believe it or not, there was actually a method to the madness. In fact, according to Cagesideseats.com, "There’s some speculation that Braun Strowman turned heel so he could lose on his Money in the Bank cash in and not be too hurt by it."

Unfortunately for Strowman, this means that he will likely lose in his match against Roman Reigns and will be forced back out of the title picture. Not only is that a travesty after everything they did to build him up over the past couple of years , it also means that absolutely anyone is fair game against WWE's golden boy, Roman Reigns.
