7 Bold predictions for the Go-Home Episode of Monday Night Raw (10th September 2018)

The last week’s episode of Raw was a chaotic one. The Shield got arrested at the beginning of the show, and then was torn apart by the entire roster when they returned at the end of the night. The WWE Universe is anticipating their response, which should be violent in nature, to say the least.

Shawn Michaels picked his best friend, Triple H, as the favorite in his match against the Undertaker at the Super Show-Down in Melbourne, Australia. Notably, the “Deadman” retired the Heart Break Kid at WrestleMania 26 and further defeated the “Game” in the subsequent two editions of WrestleMania. The “Phenom” took an exception to HBK’s prediction and delivered a strong message to his face, which has forced Triple H to address the situation this week on Raw.

This is the last episode before the Hell in a Cell PPV. Hence, it is certain that a lot of things will unfold as WWE grasps the final opportunity to further build this event. Here are the bold predictions for the go-home episode of Raw.

#1 Mick Foley will interrupt Triple H’s response

Things might get tensed between these two legends.

The Chief Operating Officer has taken the matters into his own hands, thanks to the surprise return and definitive words spoken by the Undertaker last week. Interestingly, Mick Foley will be in the arena to relive his iconic Hell in a Cell match against the same man, which took place two decades ago.

Hence, it is probable that Mick Foley will share his thoughts as the “Cerebral Assassin” will respond to the “Deadman”. It is safe to say that Mick Foley will pick the man who threw him off the cell 20 years ago, the Undertaker, as his favorite.

It is surely going to be a war of words between the two legends as each of them speaks their mind. Certainly, the “Last Time Ever” match at the Super Show-Down will be a treat for the wrestling fans.

#2 Ronda Rousey and Natalya will defeat Alexa Bliss and Alicia Fox

Who will lock the Armbar this time?

Ronda Rousey will team up with her best friend to take on the team of opponent from Hell in a Cell along with the wily Alicia Fox. The champion will be looking to gain momentum ahead of her championship match.

Last week, the “Goddess” not only defeated Natalya but made her tap to the signature move of the “Rowdy One”. This week, she might be looking to execute the same on the champion herself.

However, the former UFC and current WWE Women’s champion would love to make a strong statement by using her Armbar. Hence, it would make sense if the match concludes with Alicia Fox tapping out to the maneuver.

#3 Tag team championships rematch

New champions were crowned last week.

Last week, Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre not only robbed the opportunity for the tag team championships from the Revival but also cashed it big time as they defeated the B-Team to become the new tag-team champions.

It is likely that the B-Team will be revoking their rematch clause this week. At the last PPV, the tag-team championships were defended on the pre-show. It is certain that it won’t happen at Hell in a Cell with the new champions. Further, it is still too early to believe that B-Team will get a chance to be on the main show on the PPV.

Hence, it is more likely that the WWE think-tank would like to get the rematch clause out of their way this week itself. It is almost obvious that the championships won’t change hands if this match indeed happens.

#4 Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose will challenge for the tag-team championships

Would this match be made?

Once the tag-titles rematch is out of the way, the new champions will have their schedule free for the Hell in a Cell PPV. Not to mention, the fans would love to see Dean Ambrose in action on that night.

Hence, it is of good reasons to believe that instead of Seth Rollins defending his Intercontinental Championship, it could the tag-team championships which could be put on the line.

This will add up perfectly for the six-man tag team match at the Super Show-Down, where the Shield will square off against the team of Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre. The wrestling fans would love to see the Shield brothers in the tag team division again.

#5 More matches will be announced for Hell in a Cell

No one saw this coming.

Hell in a Cell PPV is just a week away and thus far, Raw has announced only two matches for the event. Hence, there are a couple of matches which could be announced this week on Raw.

Kevin Owens attacked Bobby Lashley last week during his meditation session with Jinder Mahal. These two could be booked in a match against each other for the next Sunday.

Finn Balor was scheduled to face Baron Corbin in the main event last week. The match was changed by Corbin himself, and the “Demon King” was made to face Braun Strowman. This due match might also get added to the HIAC match card.

#6 Preparation picks up for Evolution

The Bellas are back.

The first ever all women’s PPV, Evolution, will take place on the fourth Sunday of October. The match card is still wide open for the grab.

Bella Twins made their return last week on Raw and defeated the Riott Squad. Although there was a visible ring-rust in their game, it is certain that the Bellas will have a match at Evolution. Hence, the fans might see them in action this week as well, possibly in a re-match from last Monday.

Sasha Banks and Bayley defeated Ember Moon and Dana Brooke last week in a tag match. Interestingly, there are a couple of tag teams in this division. It will be good to see women’s tag team championships getting announced in the near future.

#7 Another chaotic night with a physical end

Will the fate be different for the Shield this week?
Ad

The Shield will certainly retaliate as an aftermath of what transpired last week on Raw. WWE Universe is predicting the ways in which the Shield can seek revenge this week.

It is certain that the night is going to be a tensed one for the acting General Manager of Raw, Baron Corbin. He will have to handle his rival, Finn Balor, along with the fury of the “Hounds of Justice”.

It will a good storyline to have the Bullet Club join forces with the Shield as the latter finds a way to battle against the entire roster. In the current landscape of the roster, it is safe to say that the roster might split into two halves with one standing with the Shield, and the other one standing against them.
