Becky Lynch has been the RAW Women's Champion for almost 7 months.

7 New challengers for Becky Lynch and the RAW Women's Championship

Becky Lynch, the RAW Women's Champion, has battled many challengers since April. She may have lost her SmackDown Women's Title to Charlotte, but she has successfully defended the RAW Women's Championship against Lacey Evans, Natalya and Sasha Banks. Now that some women have been shuffled around and the rosters for RAW and SmackDown are set, there is a new group of women to challenge Becky for her RAW Women's Championship.

Can The Man hold onto her title long enough to bring it all the way to WrestleMania next April? Is there a competitor on the new RAW roster strong enough to wrestle the belt away?

Let's look at five women who are potential new challengers for Becky Lynch and her WWE RAW Women's Championship.

#7 Liv Morgan

Liv Morgan hasn't been seen on TV since July.

Before the Riott Squad broke up, Liv Morgan was known as the crazy, loud, blue-tongued, pink-haired firecracker. She's really been known for that look and persona for most of her career in WWE. Recently, however, she has been away from television and has been posting some cryptic messages on social media. One of these messages was a Tweet that showed what appeared to be her cutting off her signature long locks. Was she actually cutting her hair?

Was it a tease for a new look or even a transformation? Many speculated that Morgan was going to become a follower of Bray Wyatt, maybe even the first-ever embodiment of Sister Abigail. With Wyatt being drafted to SmackDown and Morgan to RAW, that seems unlikely.

That doesn't mean that Liv isn't going to return to television without a completely different look and attitude. A new look can breathe a lot of life into a Superstar, and that could be the case for Morgan. With Becky Lynch appearing to be past her feud with Sasha Banks (who was moved to SmackDown) there is room for someone new. Could The New Liv Morgan make her return and go after The Man?

#6 & #5 Kairi Sane & Asuka

Could the Women's Tag Champions be looking to add more gold to their collection?
Ad

There have recently been rumours circulating that Becky Lynch may soon be matched up with a pair of new foes: the current WWE Women's Tag Team Champions. If the speculation is true, Becky Lynch could end up with a heck of a fight on her hands. Kairi Sane won the inaugural Mae Young Classic and is a former NXT Women's Champion. She's already a decorated Superstar in her short career with the company. She's held singles gold before, but the red and white strap that adorns the waist of Becky Lynch could be next.

Asuka is also a former NXT Women's Champion (she held the title for 510 days) as well as a one-time SmackDown Women's Champion. The Kabuki Warriors are very formidable opponents.

With Becky's frenemy Charlotte also one of the new members of the RAW roster, could the 10-time Women's Champion help the current RAW Women's Champion battle two of the toughest women in WWE? She might back Becky up in return for a title match of her own, so it certainly makes sense.

Either way, if Kairi and Asuka are looking for more gold, would they challenge Becky at the same time, like in a triple threat match? One at a time? Maybe in a four-way with Charlotte involved? This is a very interesting concept.

#4 Sarah Logan

Sarah Logan could make a shocking return to RAW.
Ad

Sarah Logan hasn't been seen on RAW for a while, but she is a regular on WWE's less-seen program, Main Event. With the WWE Draft coming to an end and a new era beginning in WWE it could mean that Sarah Logan's time is now.

Since the end of the Riott Squad, Logan has embraced her Viking heritage, dressing more like a Viking (similar to her husband and his tag partner, the current RAW Tag Team Champions), and has an even more violent and tough attitude. Sarah Logan has become a new woman. She's no longer a second or third fiddle in a group, standing behind a leader. Sarah is the leader of her own journey now, and that journey could lead her on a crash course with WWE RAW Women's Champion Becky Lynch.

Is Sarah up to the challenge? There's only one way to find out, and nobody will find out if she doesn't jump away from Main Event and appear on Monday Night RAW. Could she make her return as a member of the Viking Raiders, possibly helping her receive a stronger and more high-profile return?

The sky is the limit for the 26-year-old Superstar, and it will be exciting to see if she could hang with the champion.

#3 & #2 Billie Kay & Peyton Royce

Could The Iiconics become even more iconic by adding singles gold?
Ad

While it's possible that the current WWE Women's Tag Team Champions could be on their way to challenging Becky Lynch individually, could Billie Kay and Peyton Royce team up on Becky? Several years ago, a different pair of women who teamed together (Michelle McCool and Layla) named themselves co-Women's Champions. Could that happen again?

The second-ever WWE Women's Tag Team Champions do everything together. They talk, wrestle and get under everyone's skin together. Would they challenge for the RAW Women's Championship together?

Becky Lynch has never been known as the type of competitor to turn down any kind of challenge. If Billie and Peyton were to challenge Becky to a 2-on-1 handicap match with the RAW Women's Championship on the line, The Man would accept that challenge and take on the IIconics without even taking a moment to think about it.

She could hold back the former Tag Champions and send them back to tag team competition, or the duo could be the first pair of women to hold the RAW Women's Championship at the same time.

Lynch held the RAW and SmackDown Women's Championships at the same time, so why not go the opposite way and have Billie and Peyton hold one title together at the same time? That sounds like something The IIconics would do.

#1 Zelina Vega

Could Zelina Vega shock the world and win the RAW Women's Championship?
Ad

Ten-year veteran Zelina Vega, oddly, has barely had a handful of matches as a part of WWE. The vast majority of her matches, televised or at house shows, have been mixed tag-team matches where she has teamed with her charge, Andrade.

This goes all the way back to when they first got together in NXT and continues to this day. Her two most recent matches, however, happened back in September, and they were singles matches.

They were house show losses to Ember Moon, but they were one-on-one nonetheless. Does that mean that WWE is getting ready to unleash Zelina Vega into the RAW women's division?

Vega and Andrade were officially made members of the RAW brand in the most recent WWE Draft. Andrade has put on some strong performances and will surely continue to do the same, but one has to wonder if just standing in the Mexican Superstar's corner and occasionally getting involved is enough for the decorated wrestler.

Ad

She has only had a pair of one-on-one matches on WWE TV since her debut on the main roster in May of 2018, and both were against Lana on consecutive episodes of SmackDown that same summer.

Because of that, it would be a major shock to see her suddenly come out as a challenger for Becky Lynch and her WWE RAW Women's Championship. Vega is a strong wrestler and could certainly give any woman in WWE a run for their money right now, including The Man.
