AEW, AEW, AEW. Some pro-wrestling fans are genuinely excited about the arrival of All Elite Wrestling. There is a reason for all that. The success of All In proved that the market was ready for something other than WWE. Essentially, there is a hunger amongst fans and even members of the WWE Universe are yearning for a reliable alternative.

On the flip side, Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon and Triple H are probably not as thrilled. Sure, WWE was at its best when there was a legitimate competitor with WCW and the NWO storyline, pushing Vince to go out of his comfort zone. But the powers that be in the WWE rather not have the competition. To be fair, all good businessmen want to dominate, crush their competition and be the only 'game' in town.

The WWE Roster is one of the best assembled in the history of WWE. The women's division has had some of the best talents around and them main-eventing WrestleMania 35 proved that women wrestlers can hang with the men. But the problem with having a large roster that some WWE wrestlers fall by the wayside. It could be because of poor booking, creative decision making and just not being at the right place at the right time.

#5 Shinsuke Nakamura

Nakamura Not that Motivated

The King of Strong Style has been made into The Peasant of Mediocre Ville. He had a great WWE feud with AJ Styles but with no payoff. It didn't make sense that he won the WWE Royal Rumble 2018 but didn't win the WWE Championship. He even was jobbed out to Jinder Mahal before his feud with Styles.

A report last month stated that Shinsuke Nakamura is no longer creatively motivated and is just collecting a paycheck. Nakamura's WWE Contract was set to expire in 2019, so there is no word whether he has resigned or not. But with AEW having an NJPW connection, it's quite obvious they would have Nakamura in the fold. Perhaps, we'll find out sooner than later.

#4 The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows)

Good Brothers...probably AEW bound

When The Good Brothers came to WWE, there was a lot of excitement that with AJ Styles, Finn Balor that a version of The Bullet Club would exist in the WWE. Sadly, that didn't seem to happen. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson have been on and off WWE TV.

Again, with the NJPW connection, it's quite obvious that they would follow some of their NJPW brethren to AEW. It was reported a little while ago that they turned down new 5 year WWE contracts. They were a powerful tag team and were over in NJPW.

While it's not a shoo-in that they'll end up in AEW, the writing seems to be on the wall that AEW will make a play for them. Throw in old friendships and the promise of main-eventing PPVs with The Young Bucks, it gives more reason to sign with AEW.

#3 The Revival (Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson)

The Revival are just killing time

The Revival have been very vocal about joining AEW. Posing with fans with AEW shirts on, being unhappy with the creative direction and also rumored to have actually asked for their releases. According to Fightful, Their WWE contracts expire sometime in April 2020.

They lost the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship to The Major Brothers. Sure, Tyler Hawkins ended his losing streak but at the expense of The Revival. It can be argued that they are being punished for hinting to go to AEW but that would be mere speculation.

The Young Bucks have been vocal about wanting to wrestle the acclaimed WWE tag team. They have even hinted at it in the past on Being The Elite. The Young Bucks have also been clear that they want tag team wrestling to main-event PPVs and not be regulated to pre-shows. I guess we will know in a year where The Revival stand.

#2 Sasha Banks

Sasha Banks Legit Boss Leaving?
Ad

It was just reported that Sasha Banks wants out of WWE. As per the report and others, the fallout after losing the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship didn't sit well with Sasha Banks and Bayley. The Legit Boss was quite furious that WWE didn't put her on the WWE RAW after WrestleMania 35.

Sasha Banks has hinted on Twitter that she has wanted to quit WWE for a while and has been unhappy with her status on the main roster. When she became WWE Women's Tag Team Champions with Bayley, they were under the assumption that they would have a long run with the belts. It was not to happen with The Iconics going over at WrestleMania 35.

If there is a weakness in the AEW Roster, it's that there are not enough female talent. With the rise of women's wrestling, adding a big star like Sasha Banks could certainly give more credence to what AEW has to offer.

#1 Dean Ambrose

Dean Ambrose has left the WWE Building

Dean Ambrose is now a free agent. Some reports have suggested that he will return in 6 months to WWE and that he is on a sabbatical. Other reports have suggested that AEW has offered him a 6 Million Dollar Contract. While that is not confirmed, he is one of the biggest WWE stars that is now a free agent and it makes sense for AEW to try to sign him

Like Sasha Banks, Dean Ambrose felt let down by WWE Creative and that their changes to his character were for nothing. They turned him heel soon after Roman Reigns Leukemia diagnosis, which didn't sit well with him. His feud with Seth Rollins went nowhere.

Will Dean Ambrose sign with AEW? It's a burning question that is going to be burning in the WWE Universe and beyond. Dean Ambrose vs Kenny Omega at ALL IN 2? I can dig it!
