The latest episode of AEW Dark had nine matches in total, with Penelope Ford and Rachael Ellering co-main eventing the show.

The main event was a tag team contest between SCU and The Butcher & The Blade. Shawn Spears, Ray Fenix, Kip Sabian, Jurassic Express, and various other top AEW talents competed on the latest episode of AEW Dark.

Taz and Tony Schiavone welcomed the viewers and walked the fans through the biggest matches of this week's AEW Dark.

#1. Lee Johnson and Rey Fenix

Both men canceled each other out with their swift transitions during the early goings of the match. Fenix offered the handshake, but it was all a distraction as he stomped his opponent's foot and took control.

Fenix went on to ragdoll Johnson into the steel barricade on the outside. A few kicks followed as Johnson tried to fight back with a chop. Fenix kept Johnson down with a german suplex.

The fans were also quick to spot a cockroach crawling in the background during the match! It was a bizarre moment that has been one of the biggest talking points on social media regarding the latest episode of AEW Dark.

Johnson got some offense in as he laid Fenix out with a missile dropkick. He got a 2-count from a sit-out powerbomb. Johnson connected with two superkicks, but Fenix dug in deep to floor Johnson with a spinning kick.

Fenix set up Johnson up on the top turnbuckle and delivered the Brain Buster for the win on AEW Dark.

#2. Shawn Spears (w/ Tully Blanchard) vs. Alex Chamberlain

This was Alex Chamberlain's AEW debut. The match began with a strong tie-up lock between both men. Spears took Chamberlain down with a side headlock.

A swift exchange of leapfrogs and dropdowns followed with Spears getting the upper hand. Chamberlain stopped Spears' momentum with a shoulder block. Spears took some time on the outside to rethink his strategy, but Chamberlain followed him. It was a mistake as Spears rammed Alex's hand against the steel ring post. Spears began to work on Chamberlain's left shoulder.

Spears hit the Running Death Valley Driver for the three-count. Shawn Spears took off his gloves and decked Chamberlain with a left after the match.

#3. M'Badu & Shawn Dean vs. Billy & Austin Gunn (The Gunn Club)

Nigerian wrestler M'Badu made his AEW debut as he teamed up with 'The Captain' Shawn Dean.

Austin kicked off the match with Dean, and they locked up in the middle of the ring. Austin tried to keep Dean down with a front headlock as he went to his corner and tagged his father in. M'Badu got into the action, and Billy looked surprised by the Nigerian performer's physique. They stood toe to toe in the middle. Billy wasn't messing around as he took his shirt off.

M'Badu showed off his strength as Billy Gunn unsuccessfully tried to knock him down with two shoulder blocks. M'Badu wasn't just strong as he showcased his agility as well with a flying clothesline.

Tony and Taz noted that M'Badu looked raw in the ring but possessed immense potential. M'Badu had Billy in a headlock, but the veteran created some separation and delivered a clean DDT. Austin and Dean get tagged in, and Gunn Jr. connected with two solid lariats.

Austin got a two-count with a pump handle slam. M'Badu broke up the pin. However, Austin hit the modified hip toss neck breaker-esque slam to pick up the win for his team.

Result: Austin & Billy Gunn def. M'Badu & Shawn Dean

#4. Michael Stevens vs. Kip Sabian (w/ Penelope Ford)

Stevens was quite an interesting character as his goofy mannerisms, and colorful persona were a treat to behold. He even did a strut to begin the match as a perplexed Sabian looked on.

Stevens seemed to be quite attracted to Penelope Ford, but Sabian blindsided him with a knee to the back. Sabian was all over Stevens as he nearly kicked his head off the body.

Stevens taunted Sabian with the pelvic thrusts. He planted Sabian with a facebuster. Sabian catapulted Stevens and followed it up with a springboard rolling DDT. He then hit the twisting neck breaker to pick up the win.

Result: Kip Sabian def. Michael Stevens


#5. Griff Garrison & Brian Pillman Jr. vs. Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen (Private Party)

Isiah and Pillman exchanged arm drags and leapfrogs with the Private Party member getting the better of the sequence before making the tag to Quen.

Private Party dominated the match with intricate double team moves on Pillman. The momentum shifted after Pillman stunned Isiah with a knee strike.

Garrison and Pillman were now in control as they kept Kassidy in the corner.

Kassidy broke his opponent's momentum to flip to the other side of the ring for the hot tag to Quen.

Marq came in and unleashed a few kicks. Private Party then laid out Garrison for a leg drop-splash combo from the top rope for the win.

Result: Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen def. Griff Garrison & Brian Pillman Jr.


#6. The Jurassic Express vs. Pineapple Pete, Corey Hollis & Aaron Solow

Solow and Stunt began the match. Marko's quickfire dropkicks caught Solow off guard before Luchasaurus came into the match.

The giant did his thing before Jungle Boy got tagged in. The Jurassic Express executed a triple team move in the corner.

It was a typical six-man AEW tag team match as Pete, Hollis, and Solow did get in some offense.

In the end, Marko Stunt executed the 450 to pick up the win for his team.

#7. The Hybrid 2 vs. Natural Nightmares (w/ Brandi Rhodes and Allie)

QT and Angelico jockeyed for position with Marshall taking his opponent down with a dropkick at the end of the sequence.

Dustin Rhodes and Jack Evans get tagged in. Evans' flipped around in the ring only to get rocked with a right from Dustin.

QT Marshall came in and executed an impressive standing moonsault. Evans turned the match in their favor with a rake to the eye. Evans caught QT in the Muta lock as Angelico came in with a kick.

Angelico and Evans punished QT in their corner. Marshall sneaked under Evans' legs while the latter was cutting a promo mid-match to tag Dustin in.

Rhodes was on a hot streak as he took Evans out with a bulldog followed by two snap powerslams on Evans and Angelico.

QT entered the ring and threw Evans up in the air and connected with a forearm strike. Dustin followed it up with The Final Cut for the win.

#8. Co-main event - Penelope Ford (w/ Kip Sabian) vs. Rachael Ellering

This was Ellering's second AEW match following her debut as part of the Women's Tag Team Cup Tournament.

Ellering got a close pinfall with a flying elbow as she looked smooth in the early moments of the match. Sabian used a leaf blower to help Penelope change the complexion of the match. Yes, you read that right. A leaf blower!

Ellering, however, blocked a clothesline with a pump kick followed by a series of chops. She got another near fall with a senton.

Ellering was putting on a solid performance as she executed the spinebuster for another near fall.

Ford weathered the storm, saw an opening and delivered the springboard cutter followed by the fisherman's suplex with the bridge for the win. Sabian and Ford celebrated with a really long kiss!

Result: Penelope Ford def. Rachael Ellering


#9. Main event - SCU vs. The Butcher & The Blade

Frankie Kazarian and The Blade got the main event underway with a long and intense lockup.

Kazarian got the monkey grip on Blade. Frankie looked for a sneaky schoolboy, but Blade kicked out. Daniels got tagged in, and the team executed a double team neck breaker sequence on Blade.

Blade rushed to his corner and tagged Butcher in, who entered like a mad truck and laid out Daniels. SCU tagged in, and they executed the low-high takedown on Blade. Kazarian hooked Blade for the snap suplex. SCU's smooth double team transitions continued to be a significant feature of the match. The heels got the advantage after two backbreakers on Daniels.

Blade got down to the basics with some good-old mat wrestling on Daniels.

Butcher got into the action and caught Daniels in an old-school bearhug. Daniels bit his way out of the hold.

Daniels created some separation with a faceplant and made the hot tag to Kazarian. Dropkicks, forearms, and a guillotine leg drop - Kazarian was on fire!

Kazarian scooped up Blade and slammed him to the mat before executing the springboard leg drop.

The finish of the match saw Butcher take Daniels out with a running crossbody. They delivered their double team finisher for the win.
